Lunch at and suddenly Boston feels a little like Paris. 🇫🇷

Just four weeks after returning from Paris, the nostalgia is already creeping back.

Growing up a strict vegetarian, my culinary education was… limited. I still remember the day I ordered something in a restaurant and suddenly thought, “Wait a second… this is not goat… this is escargot!” 😅

Let’s just say that was a very memorable introduction to French cuisine.

Thirty years later, after traveling around the world and exploring so many different cuisines, food has become one of my greatest joys. What fascinates me most is how every region has its own flavors, traditions, and secrets.

And every time I taste something wonderful, my mind immediately goes to the same place:
How can I recreate this at home?

For now, I’m enjoying this little Parisian moment in Boston… but I have a feeling Paris will be calling again soon😍

In 2014 I opened my aesthetic practice. Around that time I took a standardized photograph of my own face—before any toxin, filler, or laser. I split the photo into left+left and right+right. Three completely different faces appeared.

#1 Do we really want perfect symmetry?
Try the experiment yourself. Take a photo, split it down the middle, and create a left+left and right+right face. Most people discover something surprising: the perfectly symmetrical versions often look less natural than the original.

#2 What do we actually see when we analyze faces?
One eyebrow higher, one eye slightly different, one cheek fuller, one jawline stronger, lip corners different, nasolabial folds and marionette lines different. Even nostrils and earlobes are rarely identical. Human faces are naturally asymmetrical.

#3 Why is symmetry so difficult to create?
Because underneath the skin everything differs: bone structure, muscle activity, fat compartments, and skin thickness. One side of the face may age differently due to sleeping position, muscle dominance, or sun exposure while driving.

#4 What can non-surgical treatments really do?
Botox, fillers, and energy-based treatments can improve balance. Sometimes one side is treated slightly differently from the other. But these procedures refine harmony—they cannot create perfect symmetry.

#5 What happens with aging and major weight loss?
As we age, fat shifts, skin loosens, and bone remodeling occurs. Rapid weight loss—especially with modern medications—can exaggerate asymmetry because fat, muscle, and support structures change unevenly.

6 Why are baseline photographs essential?
Because you must know what the face looked like before any treatment. Selfies do not count. Standardized photos taken in the same room, same lighting, and same position are the only reliable reference.

Final thought: perfect symmetry belongs to mathematics. Human beauty is about balance and harmony.
