Holiday cheer was in full swing during our cookie decorating afternoon—part of our festive Holiday Happenings for staff and residents!

A huge thank you to Laurie Faria from Resident Life, who baked over 200 cookies and beautifully set the tables with festive treats for decorating. It was wonderful to see residents and employees side by side, sharing laughs, creativity, and the joy of the season together. Moments like these are what make our community so special.

Meet the Team: Angela Juliano, LCSW – Long-Term Care Social Worker at the Jeffrey & Susan Brudnick Center for Living

We are pleased to announce that Angela Juliano, LCSW, has joined Chelsea Jewish Lifecare as our new Long-Term Care Social Worker at Jeffrey and Susan Brudnick Center for Living.

A native of Boston’s North Shore, Angela received a Master of Social Work from Boston College, where she also earned an Aging Populations and Gerontology Certification. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Delaware, majoring in neuroscience.

Prior to pursuing graduate studies, Angela worked extensively with older adults, particularly those living with dementia and their caregivers. Her early career in neuropsychology and Alzheimer’s research provided a strong foundation, but she discovered her greatest fulfillment came from building relationships with residents and families. This realization inspired her transition into social work, with a dedicated focus on older adults.

Angela’s commitment to supporting individuals with dementia and their families made Chelsea Jewish Lifecare a perfect career choice. “I truly appreciate Chelsea Jewish Lifecare’s values and am proud to collaborate with the exceptional social work team at the Jeffrey and Susan Brudnick Center for Living,” she noted.

Chelsea Jewish Lifecare is proud to welcome Angela Juliano. Since joining the organization a few short months ago, Angela has quickly established herself as a valued member of the BCL team!

Chelsea Jewish Lifecare in Peabody recently held ongoing fire-safety training for our staff, reinforcing the essential skills needed to keep our residents and community safe.

Team members learned how to properly use a fire extinguisher, safely put out a fire on a person, and perform emergency resident evacuations — among other important fire-safety procedures.

We are grateful for our dedicated staff and their commitment to being prepared, confident, and ready to respond in any emergency. Safety is always our top priority.

At Chelsea Jewish Lifecare, Thanksgiving is a moment to celebrate the heart of our communities: the connection, compassion, and everyday moments that bring us together. Whether it’s a shared laugh in a dining room, a warm greeting in the hallway, or a quiet act of kindness between staff and residents — these are the things we’re grateful for.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our residents for filling our campuses with meaning and joy, to our families for their unwavering support, and to our extraordinary staff whose dedication makes a difference in countless ways.

Wishing you and your loved ones a Thanksgiving filled with warmth, gratitude, and peace

Supporting Our Heroes Through Operation Gratitude

Residents of Harriet & Ralph Kaplan Estates recently took part in a meaningful Operation Gratitude card-writing activity. Operation Gratitude sends thousands of care packages each year to our nation’s military members and first responders—each one filled with notes, letters, cards, and colorful drawings reminding those who serve that “WE CARE!”

This enriching activity was led by Jennifer Ferringo, COTA/Community Liaison, and Laurie Faria, Activities Assistant, from Legacy Lifecare VNA & Hospice. Through this purposeful engagement, residents were able to incorporate visual-motor integration, dexterity, and strength while creating heartfelt messages of appreciation.

We are proud to support such an impactful initiative and grateful to our residents for sharing their kindness with those who protect and serve.
