This weekend we are holding a Komyo ReikiDo Chuden Level 2 Reiki Training. The focus of this level is offering Reiki for others, both hands-on and from a distance. Including introducing some Traditional Japanese Reiki techniques.

Lovely Reiki exchange and Reiki Share on Thursday with friend and Reiki Shihan colleague Flavia Barrale of Komyo ReikiDo Argentina. Thank you for the beautiful flowers! So happy to finally meet her in-person, after 6 years of monthly Zoom Reiki Gatherings with Hyakuten-sensei and colleagues from around the world. Lovely to share Reiki with Flavia and some of my students from Komyo ReikiDo Boston, who enjoyed meeting her and hearing of her experiences practicing Reiki in Argentina.

Beautiful, sunny 42 degrees day today was great for our Reiki Share. With 3 different levels of practitioners attending, we enjoyed relaxing, healing Reiki sessions.

Our 'Healing Sanctuary and Retreat Center' is enjoyed by all who attend sessions and classes. A visit by 2 deer during our Reiki share today was an added attraction. I learned today that in Burmese, "a home that is peaceful" so as to attract wildlife is အေးချမ်းသော အိမ် (pronounced as: Aye Chan Thaw Eim).

Great to have international students and colleagues, and hear the Reiki Gokai (Precepts) in a variety of languages.

Aloha! The beautiful 'garden island' of Kauai Hawaii was the birthplace of Hawayo Takata-sensei and resting place for her granddaughter, Phyllis Furumoto, who carried on her grandmother's legacy through the Reiki Alliance. These two women were instrumental in spreading the practice of Reiki Ryoho around the globe.

Now, Inamoto Hyakuten-sensei is bringing his 'Keep it Simple' teachings of Komyo ReikiDo for the 1st time, to Hawaii. Here, Hyakuten-sensei will also be paying homage to his friend and colleague, Phyllis Furumoto with a special Buddhist ceremony.

Join us for a peaceful Solstice Ceremony Sunday at our Reiki Share, as we celebrate Winter Solstice.

The Solstice is a good time for reflection whether alone or with others. The solstice has been vital to Native Americans and other cultures as a time of deep spiritual connection, marking natural cycles, renewal, and the interconnectedness of all life. Ceremonies focused on gratitude, honoring ancestors, community bonding, and praying for balance and abundance, especially as the sun's return promises growth and hope after the longest night (winter solstice) or marks the peak of life's energy (summer solstice).

After a rigorous four-month fundraising campaign, Greenbelt has raised the $3.7 million needed to permanently protect 66 acres of ecologically significant land at 133 Essex Street in Hamilton, adjacent to Chebacco Woods.

After this training, those attending will be able to join Inamoto Hyakuten-sensei and others for his monthly on-line Reiki Gatherings. For on-line Reiki Gatherings, we join Komyo ReikiDo Practitioners Level 2 and higher to share in our practice, Shuchu ('concentrated') Reiki, hear Sensei's wisdom teaching and have an opportunity for Q&A with Sensei. All for FREE.

Note: No Reiju (attunements) are offered in these on-line Reiki Gatherings. In the Komyo ReikiDo Tradition, ALL Reiju, including 'Open Reiju,' are meant to be "offered in-person, face-to-face, while sharing the same energy space." — Hyakuten-sensei

Tomorrow I will be practicing Reiki on-line with my Reiki teacher, Inamoto Hyakuten-sensei. I am so grateful to have this ongoing opportunity. Wehave an opportunity to offer and receive Reiki in community, ask Sensei questions about our practice, and hear his life ‘wisdom’ statements.

As a Reiki teacher, it is very important to offer regular practice venue for students, for their ongoing growth and development in their practice.

Ever since I began teaching Reiki in 2001, I have offered Reiki Clinics/Reiki Shares as practice venue for my students as well as a way for people to experience Reiki ‘by donation.’  First weekly, at Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester.  Then, monthly in Manchester-by-the-sea MA.

Our monthly Reiki Clinics/Reiki Shares continue at our peaceful, private retreat center North of Boston.

For Komyo ReikiDo practitioners (Level 2 and up) & Komyo Reiki Do teachers.

We had not had Reiki Shares on Zoom since the pandemic. Recently, thanks to students in our Maine training, we resumed 'hybrid' style of some on Zoom and some in person for Reiki Clinic/Reiki Share.

Wonderful groups from Maine, Arizona and Massachusetts joined in for our Komyo ReikiDo style Reiki Share, new to some attendees.

We were honored by the presence and wonderful stories told by a long-time students of John Harvey Gray and one of their Reiki Masters who attended. John Gray was one of Takata Sensei's original 22 Reiki Masters (Teachers). Talking about John's trainings, "John was strict about the hand positions." As was Hawayo Takata-sensei, who brought Reiki to the West via Hawaii.

Komyo ReikiDo, a 'Keep it Simple' Reiki System is less strict about hand positions. While we begin with formal hand positions when 1st learning, we learn to offer reiki through the skills of developing the sense of and experience of 'Hibikki and Byosen,' with various sensations (which can be warm, hot, cold, tingling, pulsing, bubbling, dense/heavy, pain, etc) felt in the hands and from the body. Until one develops those skills, working with standard hand positions and going by time, is best.

This weekend we have smaller, international group in our Reiki Share/Reiki Clinic, with again, wonderful group energy. Some are brand new to Reiki. Some experienced. Some in-person, some on-line. All enjoying the experience of self-guided Reiki meditation practice, the Gokai (Reiki Precepts), Mawashi (Reiki Circle), receiving Komyo ReikiDo Open Reiju (Reiju only offered for our in-person attendees). All receiving a Reiki Session, experiencing the shared energy, peace, comfort and calm. Grateful for all those who come to my Reiki Trainings and Shares/Clinics ...

This weekend Shoden Level Reiki Training continues today, Day 2, 9:30 am - 5:30 pm. With a Reiki Share/Reiki Clinic afterwards 5:30 - 7:30 pm. Advance Registration required for all our events.

Beautiful weekend weather for our training, allowing us to be outdoors for some of class and receiving Reiju. More on that later.
