โI donโt want the child to look me in the eye because she knows I will say โgood eye contactโ or because she will get a treat. I want her to look at me in the eyes because Iโm funny, because sheโs comforted by me, because she wants to interact with me, because it feels good inside. The bottom line: Looking at me in the eyes makes her feel connected to me. We want that to be the motivation for the interaction.โ ๐๐งฉ
