We had a fantastic Valentine’s Day happy hour featuring the Six Feet Back Trio. Residents enjoyed great music, dancing, and reminiscing with favorites from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Later, Chef Joe served a special dinner while residents opened hundreds of Valentine cards from Oak Grove 5th graders, The Cupid Project, Senior Helpers, and other local organizations and churches. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so memorable!

Last week, we hosted Chapter BA of the P.E.O. for their meeting in our community. Residents are having a blast at our weekly Texas Hold’em Workshop! Whether they’re first-time players or seasoned card sharks, everyone is socializing, strategizing, and having fun. Our ‘pit boss’ Terry gives out a cool prize each week to the chip leader—no money involved, just free chips and bragging rights!

Residents enjoyed Puxatawny Phil’s visit on Groundhog Day, even though Phil saw his shadow in the morning! He seemed a little embarrassed by his prediction of 6 more weeks of winter, but still brought plenty of smiles and laughter to the day.

We brought a touch of mystery to dinner with our Sherlock-inspired “Who Dunnit” evening—The Case of The Arbor Diamond! Residents enjoyed themed dishes like ‘The Cluck of the Baskerville’ and ‘221B Baker Street Chocolate Mousse Cake’ as they joined in the fun. The case was cracked in classic style by Sherlock himself and Dr. Watson!

We’re kicking off the year with a Sherlock Holmes-themed dinner and an exciting mystery—The Case of the Arbor Diamond!

Legend has it, Sir William Arbor acquired the diamond in the 1950s, and it’s been locked away in the Arbor safe ever since. For the first time, it’s now on display in our community.

During our Cocktails and Culprits happy hour, about 50 residents mingled with a few shady characters, each with their own motives and money troubles. Over the next five days, residents will receive clues, and after our theme dinner next Wednesday, Sherlock, Watson, and our resident investigators will gather to solve the “who dunnit!”
