BRINGING COMFORT AND PEACE
TO ALL WE SERVE Capstone provides 24-hour, seven-day-a-week, on-call services.

Capstone Hospice serves patients and families within a 50-mile the radius of Peachtree Corners, Ga. Our care is provided primarily in a patient’s private residence, thus meeting the desire of most Americans to die at home surrounded by family and loved ones. In addition to a private home, one’s residence may also be an assisted living facility, personal care home, or nursing home. In essence, Caps

tone Hospice wishes to recapture the spirit of the original hospice movement — local providers providing care to local members of the community in a home-based setting

We have competent, well-trained staff who are experienced and responsive. An expert is on duty around the clock to answer your questions, help to resolve problems or be on their way to make an in-home visit if necessary.

This month, Capstone Hospice is proud to celebrate Monique Huitt as our Hero of the Month. Monique’s heartfelt approach to care and her ability to bring comfort to patients during life’s most vulnerable moments make her an invaluable part of the Capstone team.

Monique chose hospice care because of her deep love for helping others. She is passionate about making her patients feel safe, comfortable, and less afraid during their journey. Her goal is simple yet powerful—to help each patient reconnect with a sense of who they are beyond their illness. Through her compassion and presence, she creates an environment where patients can feel dignity, peace, and genuine human connection.

At Capstone Hospice, we love seeing amazing people volunteer and step up with their talents and heart to serve our patients and families. 💚

Recently, a young patient needed a haircut, and a member of the Capstone Hospice team reached out to the volunteer team to see if we had a licensed barber who could help.

Without hesitation, Torrance Patrick, stepped up and generously visited the patient to give the young man a fresh haircut (Torrance provided video with his permission and the person getting cut is not the patient).

We are so grateful for Torrance and for all of our incredible volunteer team members who selflessly share their time, compassion, and unique gifts. Sometimes something as simple as a haircut from a friendly soul with a smile can restore dignity, lift spirits, and truly mean the world to someone.

Do you have a special skill, talent, or simply a heart for serving others? We would love to help you find a meaningful way to make a difference in our patients' and families' lives.

If you would like to walk alongside us on the journey to make a difference, reach out to our volunteer team today to learn how you can get involved and share your gifts with Capstone Hospice.

💚 Volunteer Spotlight: Christina

Capstone Hospice has a very special place in Christina’s heart. When her father, Tom, chose Capstone for his care, the love and support her family received touched her deeply. When she began her death doula training, volunteering with Capstone was the first thing that came to mind as a way to give back.

Since joining the volunteer team in June 2025, Christina has formed such a beautiful bond with one of our patients. Even with limited communication, their time together has become truly meaningful. On a recent visit, as they shared one of their usual goodbye hugs, the patient looked at her and said, “I love you.” Moments like these are a reminder of the comfort, presence, and heart our volunteers bring every day.

Christina also shared a special photo of herself with her father, Tom, beside his beloved Miata, which she now drives (posted with Christina's permission). As she beautifully said, “Every time I go for a drive, we’re going together.” ❤️

Thank you, Christina, for sharing your heart with Capstone. We are so grateful for the compassion and love you bring to our patients and families. Interested in becoming a volunteer like Christina? Send us a message or visit our website to learn more.

Family Feedback

We’ve been so grateful for Capstone Hospice. Their client liaison, Stacy—an amazing LPN—has been phenomenal from day one. She truly cares about every patient, works tirelessly to ensure top-notch care, and brings such warmth and diligence to everything she does. What stands out even more? Their faith-based approach feels authentic and comforting—it lines up perfectly with what we value at BrightStar Care too. If you need compassionate, thoughtful hospice support in this area, Capstone is the real deal. Highly recommend!

At Capstone Hospice, our volunteers are truly at the heart of who we are.

This special logo was created using the names of the incredible individuals who give their time, presence, compassion, and kindness to serve our patients, families, and staff each day. Every name represents a unique impact, a caring presence, and a meaningful difference.

Together, they make Capstone what we are. We deeply appreciate all they do and the love they bring to our important mission.

Sometimes comfort is something you can hear.

It might be the quiet hum of a favorite hymn playing in the background…
The laughter of grandchildren visiting after school…
Or the simple sound of someone sitting beside you so you’re not alone.

In hospice care, these moments matter just as much as the medical care.

At Capstone, we’re here to protect those moments — the sounds, memories, and connections that make a space feel peaceful and full of love. 🤍

At Capstone Hospice, we love the students from Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA). Many of these incredible students volunteer with us, giving their time and presence during visits with our patients. They truly help bring comfort and connection. Student volunteers are an important part of the care and compassion we bring to every patient and family we serve.

Recently, the Berkmar High School HOSA Club shared their kindness by volunteering to create handwritten cards for our Capstone Hospice staff and patients. They beautifully wrote and decorated 49 cards for our staff and 73 cards for our patients.

Each card is filled with thoughtful words, drawings, and encouragement—like the ones pictured here. Small gestures mean so much to our patients and to the incredible staff who care for them every day.

We are very grateful for the Berkmar HOSA club and the kindness they shared with our Capstone family.

When families look back on hospice care, they rarely talk about the schedule or the paperwork.

They talk about the nurse who held their hand.
The social worker who helped them through a difficult decision.
The volunteer who made their loved one smile.

It’s the people who make the difference.

We’re grateful every day for the Capstone team and the compassion they bring to every family they serve. 🤍

Meet our new Capstone Hospice volunteer, Kelli Clay.

During her very first visit with our patient and his wife at Celebration Village Forsyth, Kelli wore her self-decorated jean jacket, filled with color, creativity, and personality.
After some initial conversation, the patient’s wife smiled and shared her own self-embroidered jeans, proudly pointing out how perfectly they matched Kelli’s jacket. What started as a simple observation quickly became a moment of laughter, storytelling, and connection.

This is hospice — the Capstone way.

Along with the important care plans, doctor’s orders, or many visits, these small, unexpected moments remind our patients that they are seen, understood, and not alone.

These little connections our Capstone Hospice volunteers make, visit after visit, often grow into meaningful relationships with our patients, families, caregivers, and staff.

✨ Do you want to create moments like this? Join our Capstone Hospice volunteer team and help us build connections that truly matter.

We would love for you to share a small moment of connection that has meant a lot to you.
