Both my dad and and then sister owned and operated Magical Scissors for 50+ years. It started in and then moved to now it’s time to close the doors. is the best hair dresser and she will be working at another salon in town. FACT. I was 11 when my dad asked me ‘what should I name the shop?’ And I said ‘Magical Scissors!’ ✂️He loved it and of course the word Magical made it even more special. Many wonderful memories.

A grackle on my fence this morning.
It didn't flinch. It didn't fly away. It stayed while I snipped my first daffodil of spring.
When I came back inside, I looked up its meaning.
Adaptability. Self-expression. Breaking through mental blocks. A call to speak your truth and share your unique music with the world.
It was as if the bird was reading my mind.

This morning I gathered a few things and created this simple altar. A globe that I purchased at a craft store. Smokey quartz ball. Sprays for the Moon and Fire (Aries element). Peach and black moonstones. A selenite candle holder (Selene is the moon goddess). I will ask the moon what I should focus on during this time and then pull a few cards. Your ritual could be as simple as pulling a card, holding a crystal in your hand or just closing your eyes and seeing what pops up. It doesn’t have to be complicated - it needs to mean something to you.
