Flowers, sweets, and a thank you card from my fertility patient who just got pregnant after her very first IVF try.

I honestly don't deserve this beautiful gift. She did all the hard work. I am so proud of her dedication and trust in the process. ❤️

Every fertility journey is unique, and sometimes, the body just needs the right support to find balance. Healing takes time, but miracles do happen. 🦄🦄🦄

🌿 Healing happens when we listen deeply.

One of my patients shared:

“Dr. Lee is such a kind human. She goes above and beyond for her patiences. I suffered a severe stroke and she works closely with me and listens. I am feeling some relief from this debilitating condition. If she can make me feel better, she can help anyone.”

Every recovery journey is unique, and it’s an honor to be part of the healing process — step by step, needle by needle. 💚

Acupuncture can support stroke recovery by improving circulation, reducing muscle tension, and promoting the body’s natural healing response.

✨ Your healing starts with a conversation.

💤 Why Sleep Is So Important 🩵

Good sleep is not just rest — it’s healing time for your body and mind.
When you sleep, your liver works actively to detoxify and manage inflammation throughout the body. It’s also when your body repairs tissues, balances hormones, and restores energy for the next day.

In Chinese medicine, nighttime sleep is when Yin energy nourishes the body and Yang energy retreats inward to be recharged. When this rhythm is disrupted, it can lead to fatigue, hormonal imbalance, mood changes, or even pain.

✨ Acupuncture helps calm the nervous system, harmonize Yin and Yang, and promote deeper, restorative sleep.

🌙 Take care of your sleep — your body’s natural healing depends on it.

✨ Does Acupuncture Hurt? ✨

This is one of the first questions new patients ask. The short answer is: No, acupuncture is not supposed to hurt.

✔️ Acupuncture needles are very thin—about the width of a strand of hair.
✔️ Most people feel little to nothing when the needle goes in.
✔️ Sometimes you may notice a dull, heavy, or warm sensation—this is your body’s energy (Qi) responding.

Many patients describe acupuncture as relaxing, often falling asleep during treatment. 🌙

💡 If you ever feel uncomfortable, your acupuncturist can adjust the needle. Communication is key—we want you to feel safe and supported.

🌱 Acupuncture isn’t about pain—it’s about healing.

🧠 Acupuncture for Stroke Recovery

After a stroke, many people experience paralysis, weakness, speech difficulties, or numbness. These challenges can feel overwhelming—but recovery is possible.

✨ Research shows acupuncture may help by:

Supporting neuroplasticity (the brain’s ability to rewire itself)

Improving blood circulation & reducing muscle stiffness

Enhancing the effects of rehabilitation therapy

Acupuncture works best when combined with physical and occupational therapy. 🌱 Healing takes time, but every needle can open the door to new possibilities.

🌿 Can Nerves Heal Themselves? 🌿

Many patients ask: “If my nerve is damaged, will it ever recover?”

✨ The answer is: yes, nerves can heal — but slowly, and it depends on the injury.

Mild injuries often recover within weeks.

More serious injuries may regrow at about 1 mm a day, so healing can take months or even years.

In very severe cases, recovery may be incomplete.

💆‍♀️ The good news is — acupuncture and Chinese medicine can improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and support nerve nourishment. This creates the best possible environment for healing.

💡 While nerve healing takes time and patience, many patients notice improvements in pain, movement, or sensation with consistent treatment and care.

🌸 Even small signs of recovery mean your body is healing — and we’re here to support that process.

🔥 Hot Pack or ❄️ Ice Pack?
Do you know which one to use for your pain?
Most people guess… and often get it wrong!

From a Chinese medicine perspective, the choice isn’t just about how long you’ve had the pain—
it’s about whether your pain is cold-type or heat-type, and how it affects your Qi and Blood flow.

👉 Using the wrong one can actually slow your healing.
👉 Using the right one can speed recovery by improving circulation and getting your body’s own healing “army” (yes—white blood cells and killer cells!) to the injured area faster.

I’ve written a full blog post explaining:

How to tell if your pain is “cold” or “hot” in nature

When to choose heat vs. ice

Why healthy blood circulation is the secret to faster healing

🧠 Pins and Needles? Tingling? Feeling Numb?
You might be dealing with neuropathy — and acupuncture can help.

Neuropathy is often described as burning, tingling, numbness, or even sharp pain in the hands or feet. It can be caused by diabetes, chemotherapy, injury, or unknown factors.

🌿 In Chinese Medicine, neuropathy is seen as a disruption of qi and blood flow, often with dampness, cold, or deficiency obstructing the channels.

🌟 Acupuncture improves circulation, reduces inflammation, and helps reconnect the communication between nerves and the brain. Many of our patients experience relief in just a few sessions — without the side effects of medications.

✅ Safe
✅ Drug-free
✅ Evidence-backed

If your nerves are trying to tell you something, maybe it’s time to listen — and try acupuncture.
