Cornerstone Speech and Language Center, LLC is a dynamic and versatile center offering services for social skills, feeding, speech, and language in either group or individual sessions.

INTRODUCING..Part I of our Enrichment Series➡️

📚Literacy for Littles: Early Childhood Literacy Groups!!📚

❓❓What’s it all about?❓❓

➡️Led by a licensed speech language pathologist specializing in literacy, our program is great way for you to help enhance your child’s early literacy skills before they enter Kindergarten!

➡️ Each child will receive an initial screening prior to the 6 week program.

➡️Classes are 45 minutes long.

➡️Students are engaged in fun, hands on lessons which incorporate the foundation skills for early literacy!

➡️To tie it all together, caregivers are provided with practical carryover activities.

Space is limited-call today😊

A long term project that started in the warmer months is now complete! This young lady put her skills to work as this was no easy feat. She started with a blank game board and each week made progress toward the final goal!! Take a closer look at her amazing attention to detail.. we could have a future board game creator on our hands💯🎉

✨✨✨ “Team Cornerstone” kicked off the holiday season enjoying time together. Given the fast paced nature of our SLP lives, it’s not always easy to catch up on all the things!! Most importantly, we had an opportunity to express how grateful we are for Rachel & Carolyn who work tirelessly to help their students. Whether it’s providing creative and engaging lessons, working closely with parents to promote carryover at home, or collaborating with team members, their hard work doesn’t go unnoticed! ✨✨✨

🦃➡️🎁This time of year always seems to creep up and parents have already began asking us for our holiday gift recommendations!!

In addition to these awesome ideas brought to you by here are our two cents—

🎁Nothing is worse than the toys that kids open and play with for thirty seconds before they’re pushed aside inevitability collecting dust and taking up space! This is why open-ended, non-tech options are always the toys that kids go back to time and time again. They are versatile and span the ages.
Not to mention the endless opportunities to carryover Speech and Language goals at home!

🎁We also love games for family game nights. There are simple games that are more appropriate for the little ones. Some of our favorites are Pop Up Pirate, Candyland, Jumping Jack, and Sneaky Snacky Squirrel.

🎁For older kiddos, we love Bubble Talk, Apples to Apples Jr., Alias Jr., Say It, Guess in 10, and Pickles to Penguins. Family game nights are a nice break from technology and are also great for practicing flexibility & frustration tolerance!

🎃👻Halloween Theme 👻🎃

➡️Fun & interactive story filled with opportunities for high repetitions of SP blends using speech sound cue visuals for the “snake” ➕ “popcorn” sounds. This little lady even dressed for the occasion with her SPooky SPider dress 🕷complimented by matching SPider hair clips!

All this work got us hungry, so…ended our session making SPooky SPider potion “sneaking” in some sequencing & pretend play🧪🧙‍♀️

About Us...

Cornerstone Speech and Language Center LLC, founded in 2018, is located in the heart of Pearl River, NY. We bring over ten years of experience in the field to provide thorough assessments and treatment to infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school age kids, adolescents, and young adults. Our focus is to look at each child as a whole to customize individualized treatment plans to maximize potential.

Because no two children are exactly alike, we design a customized program for each child based on their specific strengths and areas of weakness. Looking at a child as a whole means seeing their strengths and weaknesses and working to help close the gap. We have a deep respect for individuality and take pride in our ability to meet a child where they are and develop a treatment plan that will meet their needs. We truly value collaborating with a child’s team to help them to best generalize the skills and tools they are learning during therapy.

We believe in teaching tools and strategies in a systematic, structured setting and then going out into the community to help generalize these skills in a naturalistic way. Our great location allows us to utilize the local park, library, post office, ice cream shop, and pizzeria where skills can practiced in a functional way.
