Do you keep floss picks in your car like we do? Floss picks shouldn’t replace regular flossing, but they’re a great tool for removing food and plaque between teeth on the go. Staying consistent with flossing helps protect your gums, reduce irritation, and support long-term oral health.

Making flossing part of your daily routine can make a real difference in your smile.

Decay? It’s just a baby tooth - it will fall out right? Baby teeth do eventually fall out, but they play an important role in your child’s comfort, speech, nutrition, and guiding adult teeth into the right place. When decay is left untreated, it can lead to pain or infection and affect developing smiles.

If you’ve noticed spots, sensitivity, or just have concerns about your child’s teeth, we’re here to help.

Call 281-992-7000 or text 281-214-6732 to schedule a visit with our team and let’s talk through what’s normal, what to watch for, and the best next steps for your child.

Ugh. Have a teen that just won’t brush? We get it - we’re parents too and it’s sometimes beyond us how they feel like that's okay, right?

We’ve heard all the tactics: telling them their breath stinks, or that “no one will want to kiss you with a yuck mouth”, or “you’re going to have to get a shot when you get a cavity”, but nothing works. So now what?
If your family boundaries and rules are not effectively working on your teen, we highly recommend bringing your teen in every 4 months rather than 6.

And before you say you don’t want the extra expense of a cleaning, let us share with you that it’s far less of an expense than paying for fillings.

We’re here to support families through these changes, answer your questions, and help teens build healthy habits that last a lifetime.

If you’re concerned about your teen’s oral health, call 281-992-7000 or text 281-214-6732 to schedule a visit!

The short answer? Yes. Your child’s teeth are maturing so minerals in their saliva and fluoride can help strengthen their teeth.

Choosing the right children’s toothpaste - not one made for adults, or whiter smiles - is very important! A toothpaste specially made for kids can help protect their teeth from cavities and support healthy enamel.
Trying to decide if fluoride in toothpaste is right for your child, or just what toothpaste is best? We’re here to answer your questions, guide you through the options, and make sure your little one’s dental care feels safe, supportive, and stress-free- no judgment,, just helpful advice for happy, healthy smiles. 💙

Let’s face it: Flossing for an adult can be a challenge so imagine trying to teach your child the right technique?!

Instead, there are a lot of great flossing products made just for little hands. Products like kid flossers that can make this more fun than frustrating are key to introducing this great habit.

When should they start? Most children can start flossing once two teeth touch around ages 2-3, but every child is different. At this stage though, parents should be doing the flossing until they can take on more responsibility with their dental care.

By age 7 or 8, you should be able to just supervise that they’re doing it right, and by age 10 or 11 they should have a good handle on it alone.

Looking for an office that grows with your family? Our team loves helping families build strong oral hygiene habits from the start. Schedule an appointment today, and we’ll guide your little ones on proper flossing, brushing, and smile care that lasts a lifetime! ✨

Emphatically YES! These tiny first teeth will be theirs for quite a few years and keeping plaque build up off of them is a good early start.

🪥🦷Pro tips:
No toothpaste needed. Just a little dip of a 2x2 gauze or a finger swab into water is all they need these first few months.
Finger swabs are very easy to use to start off initially. (We love the Momcozy products)
As soon as those baby teeth appear, make it a part of their daily routine at least 1x day working your way up to 2x day as they grow and get more teeth.

👶 Not sure when to start or how to do this safely? We’re here to guide you every step of the way.

📅 Schedule your baby’s first dental visit today and let our team answer your questions, ease your worries, and set the foundation for a lifetime of healthy smiles.
