Understanding the type of veins you're seeing helps us treat them more effectively (and safely). Here’s what you need to know:
🔴 Spider Veins (Telangiectasias)
These are the tiny, red or blue thread-like veins just beneath the surface of your skin, usually less than 1mm in diameter. Super common and super treatable.
🔵 Reticular Veins
These are slightly deeper, bluish-purple veins (1–3mm wide) that often feed into spider veins. We treat both for longer-lasting results.
⚠️ Varicose Veins
If your veins are thick, twisted, or rope-like, this may be a sign of something deeper. These larger veins (over 3mm) can cause discomfort and are often linked to venous insufficiency, which needs medical evaluation before we treat cosmetically.
At Elevate, we focus on spider and reticular veins with sclerotherapy and laser. If we suspect something deeper is going on, we’ll refer you to a vascular specialist first, because real results start with doing things the right way.
