ABCs of ABA: O is for Overcorrection π§©
Overcorrection is a teaching strategy where a child practices the correct behavior several times after a mistake. Itβs not a punishment β itβs about learning responsibility and reinforcing the right actions.
Example: If a child accidentally spills water, they may be guided to clean it up and practice placing the cup properly. This teaches care, responsibility, and attention to detail.
