"Miss Sibyl Susan. Our 8th baby, 3rd In Bloom baby, and our first daughter was born on December 26, 2025 at 3:12pm weighing 9lbs10oz and 20.75in long.
3 days overdue, 5 days longer than any of my previous pregnancies, I woke up that morning feeling like I was going to be pregnant forever. I told my husband and sister I needed some time alone in the bedroom to try to get my head straight. A few minutes later I started having very irregular, mild contractions. Hoping it was the real deal, I stood at the side of my bed swaying back and forth to praying contractions would pick up.
They did, it was the real deal, and Jaymee arrived at 2:30pm while I was laboring calmly laying on my side in bed. Contractions were coming every 3-5 minutes but were still manageable at this point. She checked on the baby and I and then left us to continue to labor without disruption close but out of sight in the living room.
At about 3:05 I was no longer comfortable laying on my side so I got up, leaning into my bed, and started swaying again. Contractions were still 2-3mins apart when I told my husband I started feeling a bit pushy at 3:08. I almost didn't mention it to him because besides contractions still being a little bit apart they weren't crazy painful but the pressure was definitely intensifying. My husband called Jaymee in and I complained my water had still not broken. I barely got those words out of my mouth and my water broke with a huge gush, baby's head immediately crowned, fully came out, and then next contraction she was here. Born directly into my husband's hands. It happened so fast I stood there in disbelief for a minute and when I finally caught my breath I asked if she was indeed a girl... she was!!! My husband and Jaymee then guided her into my arms and got me settled in bed to snuggle with our sweet girl. Pure bliss!
So grateful for another wonderful birthing experience under the magnificent care of the In Bloom team!"
