Congrats sweet family on your precious baby boy!

"This is my third pregnancy but second time going with a midwife. This time the birth would be done at home which was our RV! I felt the contractions at 6:37am and I went back to sleep but they started to get a bit more intense so I called Jaymee. Even though I was generous with the contraction timing I was definitely starting active labor and then I couldn't focus on the call. Since I did the Hypnobirthing classes I was able to apply what I learned with breathing and especially listening to my body during the contractions until I started to feel like bearing down and that's when I knew that my baby was coming and he was coming quick! I got up from the bed and just when I was about to make my way to the birth pool I felt like doing another push and boom I felt his head pop out. I attempted to catch my own baby but he was so slippery! Jaymee and Kellie arrived and they handled everything, helping clean up and checking on my baby boy! We were just a day from moving closer to them but baby had other plans but having them there was a huge relief to us! They are an amazing team and their presence was definitely comforting for us!"

"Our sweet baby girl joined us earth side 11/6/25 at 12:25pm, weighing 6lbs 10oz and measuring 19 inches long.

Contractions began around 11:30pm the night before. I had never experienced them so as they came on I thought I had food poisoning. Intense abdominal pain combined with nausea and vomiting could only be food poisoning! But as the night turned to early morning, the contractions began to get more intense and closer together. I woke my husband around 2am, and he called into work at 3am. I labored in the living room draped over my yoga ball with a tens unit on my back for several hours. Eventually we alerted my doula around 6am for some extra labor support. She arrived around 7am and provided immense support in the form of hip squeezes, rebozo and helping my husband set up the birth pool for the first time. Around 9am I elected to get into the water which felt amazing! I labored in the pool for a couple hours. In that time, Jaymee, Kellie and Victoria arrived. After about an hour of pushing, our daughter was born at 12:25pm. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. It was intense, exhilarating and filled with love and so much support. Thank you to Jaymee and her team for the incredible antenatal care and helping me have the most fulfilling pregnancy and birth experience. Also special thanks to my amazing doula, Marissa- I could not have made it through those intense contractions without your support!"

Congrats Vogel's on your newest little blessing!

"Ayzen Coast Vogel is here 💙
8 lbs exactly and in one BIG hurry—he didn’t even wait for the midwife. Just me, his daddy, and a wild, unforgettable entrance.
He’s happy, healthy, and officially has us wrapped around his tiny fingers."

"My labor began pretty normal. My first contraction was at 9:18am Friday, it wasn’t long but I could tell it was a real one. My husband was about to walk out the door for work and he asked if he should stay home, I told him no. Between 10am and 10:30 I had two more contractions. I called my SIL to see if she would get the kids, I just felt like I needed to be alone. My BIL left with the kids and I called Jaymee. I told her I had a few contractions - nothing consistent, but relatively intense. Around 11am I had a long intense contraction. I texted my husband to come home just to give me moral support, he told me his ETA was 11:42. Around 11:36 I texted my husband I felt like things were getting a little more intense and to tell Jaymee to go ahead and head over. In the meantime I decided I would sit in the bath tub until he got home. As I was stepping into the tub my water broke, I reached down and felt her head was already out. At this point I was excited and feeling a high. It happened so fast I had no opportunity to get scared or worried, it was pure confidence and excitement! There was only about 2” of water in the tub and I squated down and pushed one more time and pulled her up to my chest. I looked at the time and it was 11:43am. I couldn’t stop smiling. She started crying immediately and I was in shock that my baby was here and I didn’t even get a chance to process that I was in labor. About 1 minute later I heard the front door open. My daughter cried out again and I heard my husbands footsteps quicken as he ran into the bathroom. I was giddy to see the look on his face when he came in. It was such a wonderful birth. I had joked several times throughout this pregnancy about how neat it would be to deliver unassisted and my husband would always jokingly responded “I don’t want to be there for that!” I never in a million years expected that to actually happen! But I’m glad I got to experience it and it certainly makes for a great story!
I’m so grateful to Jaymee and her team for supporting me through this pregnancy and for all the postpartum support that I reached out to them for! I’m so happy they’ve had a hand in my last four pregnancies!"

Such a powerful story of strength and trust. Welcome, precious Olivia! God’s faithfulness all the way. 🤍

“Finally getting around to the birth story! Here you go!

We originally planned for a home birth but after being in early labor for about 30 hours we decided to transfer to the hospital. We experienced such great support from the hospital staff, and Jaymee was there supporting us every step of the way. I am grateful that I was able to muster up some more strength after resting some and we welcomed our little Olivia on 9/4/2025 at 11:35pm (45 hours of total labor). We are grateful to God for the incredible miracle of childbirth and we would not trade it for anything!”

"Our sweet boy Leo arrived into this world on August 19th, 2025 🩵 Weighing 8 lbs and 2 ounces, making his mark on this world immediately. I went past my due date, but he came right when he was ready!

With no symptoms of labor on Monday August 18th, I went about my day without knowing my body was getting ready and so was Leo. I decided to go bed early and braid my hair! Around 2am, I started to have pain and I was sure early labor had begun- but we didn't know what he had in store for us. I was breathing through the pain as I had practiced with my Hypnobirthing Class- thanks to Lisa!

At 2:30 am, I told my husband to start getting the birth pool ready. I was so excited for this birth plan! At 3:05 am I called Jaymee and my mom to let them know I was in labor- I couldn't speak anymore and inhaling was a task! 3:18 am, I called Jaymee again to tell her I felt his head crowning, she was almost here and walked us through the process of birthing him via FaceTime! At 3:25 am I kneeled down with towels under me and he slipped out so fast! I felt a huge bubble and moisture. When we looked down he was in his amniotic sac, it was amazing.

Jaymee and Lisa arrived shortly after to help with the rest of my care. We are grateful for In Bloom Midwifery for giving me the confidence to let my own body guide me. My recovery has been very effortless and I had no tears!
Compared to my 1st delivery and labor, it was a night and day difference and I couldn't be happier.

From the very start, he showed that he would do things in his own time —a little dreamer, a quiet force, perfectly unique."

"Our sweet baby, Ziggy, made his way in to the world on June 18th at 7:52 PM, weighing 8 lbs 13 oz, and measuring 21.75”

While I was determined to have a VBAC, God had other plans. However, I was so empowered by the laboring my body was able to do, and how far I was able to get without any intervention, and the fact that I was SO close to achieving my goal. With my first son, I had a completely unnecessary and traumatic c-section where I never even got to experience labor. I felt like motherhood was ripped away from me. I swore I’d never let that happen again. Well, there we were, after over 20 hours of laboring and pushing at home, the call was made to transfer. I was blessed to have a doctor at the hospital who allowed me to continue pushing and trying for my VBAC. After about 3 hours of naturally trying to have my baby, I was presented with two possibilities that ultimately led me to decide to have a c-section. The doctor didn’t call it, or even push it on me; he in fact told me I could still try even after informing me of these two things. But, I made the call. I got to decide what was going to happen to my body and my baby, no one else. For that, I am so grateful. I feel like this experience in a way healed some of the leftover trauma from my first birth. I had a wonderful experience under the care of In Bloom from start to finish and am so grateful I got to experience the euphoric process of labor. Everything happens for a reason, so I encourage anyone who may find themselves in my position to listen to your instincts, and trust the process, even if it may not be exactly what you had hoped for 💜"

This birth truly was an answered prayer. It could not have gone more perfect and I know that’s because of Jesus. His presence was in our home through every moment of this sweet babies arrival. Truly a testament of what happens when you surrender your plans the Lord.

I am so grateful for the In Bloom Midwifery team. Their care throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum was the most perfect experience and just a reminder that it was all in God’s plan. Jaymee and Kellie made me feel so at peace during labor, speaking life and scripture over me. It was beyond what I could have dreamed of and it wouldn’t have been possible without them. If we get blessed with another lil one, we can’t wait the use them again.

We are so in love with him. His sissy is absolutely obsessed with him. And we are just soaking in all the newborn goodness 🤎"

"Truett Kenton Breedlove was born Aug 7, at 21.5 in long and 8lbs. After two hospital births, and my second being a precipitous labor, I decided I wanted to do a home birth. Mild contractions woke me up at 2 AM on Aug 7th and were just strong enough to keep me up. By 10 AM, the contractions had ramped up and I became nauseous and started throwing up. I was caught off guard by how hard I was having to work because the contractions still weren’t very close together. Within the next hour, my contractions started coming about 5 minutes apart and I had bloody show. We let Jaymee and our doula know to head our way. My doula arrived and began applying counter pressure (I was having back labor for the first time). I got into the birth pool and Jaymee and Lisa arrived shortly after. The water and cushioned sides felt great but the contractions were still very strong. After about an hour in the birthpool something shifted, I could feel a slight urge to bear down and I got a surge of adrenaline. This entire time I was in my own world and barely noticed things that were going on around me but when it was time to push, I was back in my body. I pushed over the next hour with each contraction, working much harder than I had to with my previous birth. I felt the ring of fire multiple times but then my baby would move back up once the contraction ended. I was determined to use all my strength to get my baby out. After three more contractions, I roared my baby into the world at 1:58 PM and we finally got to meet our little boy. His cord was wrapped around his neck twice which is fairly common but it became taut which is likely why I had to work so hard to get him out. The pain and pressure vanished instantly when we met our baby and all the hard work was 100% worth it and even though an epidural could have taken away the pain, I wouldn’t have had it any other way and would do it all over again exactly the same. I had a very normal level of bleeding after despite hemorrhaging with my two hospital births and had no tears so recovery has been super easy this time around!”
