We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Pearland High School HOSA Club for their kindness and generosity. ♥️ The students created 20 beautiful wreaths for our residents who did not have one for their door. Their thoughtfulness truly brightened our halls and brought many smiles to our residents faces. Thank you HOSA Club for taking the time to make our residents feel remembered and celebrated this season. 🎄 🌟

We had such a wonderful time with our friends from Pearland High School. ♥️🥎 The Pearland Lady Oiler Softball Team stopped by to play bingo with our residents, and the room was filled with smiles, laughter, a little friendly competition. Join us in wishing a Happy 100th Birthday to Ms. Minnie! 🎉 Everyone gathered to celebrate this sweet lady and Mayor Kevin Cole of Pearland delivered a speech of her amazing life this far. Minnie Lee Crumm was born on December 6th, 1925 to Margaret Luthringer and Otis Walker. Minnie grew up in the beautiful small town of Granada, TX. After some time, her family moved to Richmond, TX, with her two sisters and one brother. By the time Minnie was a teenager, her family had moved to Barbers Hill, near Baytown. There, a vibrant and spunky Minnie, was an Assistant Drum Major and Twirler, in the high school band.
Upon graduation from high school, Minnie married her high school sweetheart, Doyle Green. Together, they raised three sons Marvin, Gordon, and Dwight. Her first husband sadly passed and Minnie remarried in 1993, to Harvey Crumm. While living in the Alvin area, Minnie worked at Bradshaw Nursery, Heights Baptist, and for her son's business, Green Ink Printing. Minnie's sons say she enjoyed making ceramic dolls and figurines, and every year she would hand-paint a Christmas ornament for each grandchild. Minnie has several grandchildren and great grandchildren, throughout Texas, California, Alabama, and Tennessee. Today, Minnie still has a love for Blue Bell Ice cream! Animals! And everything Mickey and Minnie! Thank you to Gentiva Hospice for bringing a beautiful delicious cake to match the theme!
