Today, to honor one of our residents and to celebrate National Poppy Day, Rich and Nora Burnham representing Blakely American Legion Post 570, dropped off a symbol of remembrance and support for Veteran, Anthony Cardell.

The day encourages Americans to wear a red poppy to honor fallen heroes and support the living veterans who have served their nation. In the past, they would poppy the lawn, but today, he received a certificate, letter and a framed poppy.

His wife Betty also admired his framed poppy.

Today was full of pleasant surprise visits at Celebration Villa of Mid Valley and Erin Moskel, Marketing and Admissions was happy to greet our guests, Paula and Fran from the Eynon Archbald Lions Club to thank them for their pizza donation to our community.
We appreciate all that they do for our community and honored that they thought of us today!
