Manuel C. Casias Jr., a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026, in Fort Stockton, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 15, 1962, in Hereford, Texas, to parents Manuel Casias Sr. and Ida Carrillo. Manuel lived a life characterized by hard work, dedication, and unyielding love for his family.

He demonstrated unmatched determination and a knack for fixing anything that came his way. Manuel worked for M&W Hot Oil Inc. as a Salesman and Truck Supervisor since 2005. He was a true family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. His keen sense of humor and playful nature brought joy to those around him, often lighting up the room with laughter. He had an infectious spirit that could uplift anyone's day and a compassionate heart that made him a beacon of support for his friends and relatives. Manuel found joy in fishing, camping, and golfing, pursuing these passions wholeheartedly with those he loved. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, eagerly supporting his team, and he enjoyed spending hours watching the History Channel. An avid treasure seeker, he would often search for flint arrowheads during his outings, reflecting his deep appreciation for history and nature.

Manuel's journey took a beautiful turn when he met Norma on a blind date—a fateful encounter that blossomed into a loving marriage at the Church of Christ in Fort Stockton. Their life together was filled with shared adventures and cherished memories.

Manuel is survived by his loving wife, Norma Luna, who will forever carry the memories of their joyous life together. His son Matthew Casias, two daughters Amy Ramos and Stephanie Casias, along with 4 grandchildren. Manuel is also survived by his brothers Ralph Casias, Paul Casias, Jimmy Casias, Michael Casias, Danny Diaz and his brother-in-law’s who loved him George Luna, Robert Luna and Johnny Hernandez, Joe Luis Hernandez and Danny Hernandez along with two sisters Melissa Casias, Christina Cital and Sister-in-law’s Elizabeth Burge and Mary Luna whom he truly shared a special bond with and loved like his own sister. He is also survived by his loving Mother-in-law Maria L. Hernández that loved him like her own son. Manuel’s legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him, particularly those who were graced by his warmth and kindness. He was a loving devoted husband, father and grandfather whom his family will deeply miss.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ida and Manuel Casias Sr and father in law Johnny Hernandez Sr., as well as two sisters Kathryn Ramos and Rosie Valera.

In celebrating his life, family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation services on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend in Fort Stockton, Texas from 9:00am to 8:00pm, followed by additional visitations beginning at 9:00am to 9:00pm and prayer services held at 5:00pm at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home in Pecos, Texas on Thursday, January 8, 2026. The final farewell will be held at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 11:00am when we gather to honor the legacy of a truly remarkable man with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Pecos, Texas.

Though Manuel may no longer walk among us, his spirit will forever resonate in the love he shared and the laughter he instilled in those who were fortunate enough to know him. His life was a testament to the beauty of family, hard work, and the importance of finding joy in every moment.

A special thanks to Dustin Paradeaux and Keith Garrison, and Chris Lujan for their friendship and compassion. Knowing how much Manuel was respected and cared for brings us great comfort.
