High on Hurricane Hill, west of Manchester, once stood Buckeye Station—home to Nathaniel Massie, founder of Manchester, and his brother-in-law, Judge Charles Willing Byrd. The spot offered incredible views of the Ohio River, but it also holds a complicated past.

Today, nothing remains of Buckeye Station but memories, photos, and a monument along US 52. Its story—told by Andrew Lee Feight, Ph.D.—reminds us that history is rarely simple.

Good morning. Thankful to God for allowing my body to rest after being awake for too many days.
I am blessed with my life. I am blessed with opening my eyes this morning. I thank God for my life every day. I hope you do too.

I’ve been through very rocky road for the past several months and I’m starting to see the light again.
It’s not a super super long time until I have all of my gold met .
