Creamy Mozzarella Shrimp Pasta - OMG 🍝
Ingredients:
Pasta:
12 oz of your preferred pasta (fettuccine, spaghetti, etc.)
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
Salt and pepper, to taste
Creamy Sauce:
1 ½ cups heavy cream
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for extra heat)
½ teaspoon paprika
Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions:
Prepare the Pasta:
Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the pasta as per the package instructions until al dente. Drain and keep aside.
Cooking the Shrimp:
Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove from skillet and set aside.
Creating the Creamy Mozzarella Sauce:
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer, occasionally stirring.
Gradually whisk in the mozzarella and Parmesan until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth.
Stir in Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes (if using), and season with salt and pepper as needed.
Combine Pasta, Shrimp, and Sauce:
Toss the cooked pasta in the skillet with the sauce to coat evenly.
Add the cooked shrimp back into the skillet, mixing well with the pasta and sauce.
Let the mixture cook for another 2-3 minutes to blend the flavors.
To Serve:
Garnish with fresh basil and extra Parmesan if desired. Serve hot and relish the creamy delight!
