We all want children to have fun on Halloween but we also want them to be safe. Safe Kids Worldwide recommends that trick-or-treaters wear costumes that fit well and that trick-or-treaters choose face paint over masks to reduce the risk of falls. Trick-or-treaters also should carry glow sticks or flashlights, use reflective tape or stickers on costumes and bags and wear light colors so they can be seen by drivers. Parents or guardians should join children under 12 for trick-or-treating. And drivers are reminded to slow down and be alert because trick-or-treaters may dart into the street.
