"For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb.” — Psalm 139:13

Just as God spoke the ocean into existence and told the waves where to stop, He also formed every life with intentional care and purpose. From the tiniest heartbeat to the vast sea, His creation reflects His love and design. Every life—no matter how small—is made with meaning. 💙

☕️ Every cup tells a story of hope.

Seven Weeks Coffee is a values-driven coffee company that partners with pregnancy resource centers across the country — giving back with every sip. Their name comes from the fact that at seven weeks, a baby is about the size of a coffee bean and already has a beating heart.

In the month of October, 20% of your purchase goes directly to Willow Story, a program of Living Alternatives that offers comfort and support to families who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss or received a prenatal diagnosis.

Your morning coffee can pour hope into hurting hearts. 💛

We had such a wonderful evening last Thursday at our Annual Celebration Fundraiser! Together, we celebrated 40 years of ministry with Living Alternatives, reflecting on how it all began and the countless lives touched along the way. We also celebrated 12 years of ministry in Tazewell County and honored the incredible volunteers and staff—past and present—through our very own “Wall of Fame,” showcasing more than 100 names and groups. A special thank-you to the pastors and church leaders who joined us and brought members of their congregations. It was a joy to celebrate you as well!

The evening was filled with highlights—live music from the Rhythm Makers Orchestra, a delicious meal from Countryside Catering, and the beautiful, spacious setting at Five Points. The weather couldn’t have been better! For those who took photos at the photo booth, we’d love to see them—be sure to share and tag us or share them in the comments!

This year, our goal was to raise $90,000 to continue offering free services to clients right here in Tazewell County. We are deeply grateful to share that $46,222 was raised that evening! While we did not quite reach our goal, there is still time to make a difference. If you were unable to attend and would like to give, we invite you to join us—every gift matters. We are especially thankful for our monthly and quarterly partners whose faithful support sustains our work all year long.

Here’s a glimpse of how your generosity makes an impact:

- $300 provides pregnancy verification services and options education for one woman.
- $1,000 sponsors one full day at the Center.
- $1,500 sponsors an entire journey for one woman—including pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, parenting education, and adoption support.

Today marks the beginning of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. 🍂

For so many families, October is a tender reminder of little ones who are deeply loved and missed. At LAPRC, we know that no words can take away the pain of losing a baby. But we also know the value of having a safe space to grieve, process, and find hope. That’s why we offer Willow Story—a perinatal grief support program for those who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, infant loss, or a life-limiting prenatal diagnosis.

Through this program, parents receive compassionate, trauma-informed care and the opportunity to honor their child’s life in meaningful ways. Whether it’s walking through the early days of grief, finding ways to remember, or seeking connection with others who understand—no one has to go through this journey alone. 💙💗

If you or someone you love has been touched by pregnancy or infant loss, please know that healing is possible and support is available.
