A dementia baby nursery, also known as a doll therapy area, is a designated space in a care facility, often a nursing home or assisted living facility, designed to provide a calming and engaging environment for residents with dementia. These nurseries typically feature a crib, changing table, and other baby-related items to evoke memories and encourage nurturing behaviors. Doll therapy, using lifelike baby dolls, is a non-pharmacological intervention used to reduce agitation, anxiety, and feelings of isolation in individuals with dementia.

We are still looking for a few items and wall decor to complete our nursery please contact the community of you have any items you’d like to donate ❤️

Sometimes you just need a little pampering!

Did you know? Our community offers two beauty salons with a hairdresser that accepts appointments, but it can also be used by family, staff or a hairdresser of choice. Also our amazing staff holds manicure Monday, hair day and self care days ❤️

Our sweet Jane got pampered by our care aide Billie who always goes above and beyond to make the residents look their best!

Villas of Holly Brook & Reflections Memory Care is pleased to announce that our community in Herrin, IL has received a 𝐝𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲-𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐲 on March 14th, 2024. The annual inspection, performed by the Illinois Department of Public Health, evaluates all aspects of care and safety at a senior living community. The deficiency-free rating indicates a perfect score, where no issues or shortcomings were identified in the community during the comprehensive assessment carried out by state inspectors. We're happy to stand behind our promise of providing a comfortable and 𝙨𝙖𝙛𝙚 environment for all of our residents and staff. Who knew exercise was so much fun?! We enjoyed exercise circle with our rainbow colored parachute! Although we didn't find the pot of gold underneath, we still enjoyed the exercise and fun! 🌈

Every year on March 6th, Americans come together to celebrate National Oreo Day, a special occasion dedicated to one of the most beloved cookies in the country. Oreo cookies have been a staple in American households for over a century, and this day serves as a reminder of their enduring popularity and cultural significance.

Today, with some help from members of our management team, we enjoyed some fun Oreo desserts including making our own Worms in Dirt pudding and Oreo cookie spiders!

We enjoyed frog inspired cupcakes with ice cream, music, dancing, and a leap year packet of puzzles and coloring pages! 🐸
