Ever feel a little sore after a massage and wonder why?

It’s actually pretty normal—especially if your muscles were tight going into your session. Massage works through areas of tension and helps release built-up tightness, which can leave muscles feeling a bit tender afterward, similar to how you might feel after a workout.

That soreness usually fades within a day or two and is often followed by feeling looser, more relaxed, and moving more comfortably.

Staying hydrated and giving your body time to rest can help your muscles recover even faster.

Sometimes a little soreness is just part of your body letting go of tension it’s been holding onto.

If you’ve ever felt amazing after a massage… and then a week later your shoulders are tight again, you’re not alone.

Tension doesn’t show up overnight, and it doesn’t fully go away in one session either. Regular massage helps your body stay ahead of that buildup so you’re not starting over every time.

Consistency allows your body to stay relaxed, recover more effectively, and maintain that “loose” feeling longer, not just for a day or two.

I'd love to help you start a new healthy habit with regular massage! Send me a message to book, or book with the link in my bio! 🐬

If you’re training or working out consistently, recovery matters just as much as the workout itself.

Tight muscles and limited mobility can increase your risk of injury over time. Massage helps keep everything moving well so your body can handle the demands you’re putting on it.

Staying consistent with recovery can help you stay consistent with your training.

I offer sports massage for recovery, as well as hot stone, deep tissue, prenatal, and Swedish. Message me or use the link in my bio to book! 🌴

A big part of why I love massage therapy actually started with my horse, Rocky. 🐴

Spending time around him and learning about equine massage showed me how much tension horses carry in their bodies, and how much better they move and feel when that tension is released. It made me realize how connected the body is, whether it’s a horse or a person.

That passion naturally grew into working with people. I love being able to help someone feel that same sense of relief, ease, and comfort in their own body.

It’s something I truly care about, and I’m so grateful I get to do it every day.

If you sit or stand most of the day, muscle stiffness can build up quickly. Here are a few things you can do to keep your body loose:

🌱 Set a timer to stand up every hour. Even a quick lap around the room helps

🌱 Drop your shoulders and unclench your jaw (most people don’t realize they’re holding tension there)

🌱 Do a quick chest stretch by clasping your hands behind your back and lifting slightly

🌱 Shift positions often. Don’t stay locked in one posture

🌱 Keep water nearby and sip throughout the day

Small changes throughout the day can make a big difference in how your body feels.

One of the biggest compliments you can give me is referring a friend, so I wanted to give a little something back!

When you come in for your massage, you’ll receive two referral cards to share with friends. If someone you refer books a session using your card, you’ll receive $15 off your next massage.

It’s my way of saying thank you for supporting my business and sharing it with others 🤍

If you sit most of the day, your back and hips are doing more work than you think.

Staying in one position for hours can cause your hips to tighten and your lower back to compensate, leading to that stiff, achy feeling by the end of the day.

Your body is meant to move—when it doesn’t, tension tends to build.

Ready to feel some relief? Schedule your session by sending me a message or using the booking link in my bio! 💜
