☕️ We had a great time visiting the Wallace State PTA program this week! Our team had the opportunity to speak with students about documentation best practices and what it’s like to provide therapy services in a skilled nursing facility.

It’s always exciting to connect with future clinicians and share real-world insight into the rewarding world of rehab therapy. Of course, no visit is complete without a little caffeine boost—thank you to everyone who stopped by our coffee bar!

🎉 Congratulations to Ashleigh Pristas for being named ADVION’s 2025 Member of the Year!

Ashleigh’s journey with ADVION began in 2019, when she was selected for the organization’s Inaugural Emerging Leader Class. Since then, she has continued to exemplify leadership, innovation, and dedication to advancing the post-acute care profession.

After stepping up to serve on the ADVION IT Committee, Ashleigh quickly immersed herself in a new and challenging area—demonstrating her commitment to continuous learning and professional growth. Through her active membership and the networking opportunities ADVION provides, she now serves as a domain expert on the SPLASCH use case within the PACIO (Post-Acute Care Interoperability) project. In this role, she contributes to the development of FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resource) APIs that enable clinical data exchange across post-acute care settings, including data captured by speech-language pathologists.

Beyond her technical expertise, Ashleigh is a passionate advocate for the profession. She regularly participates in Hill visits and meets with legislative members to educate and champion issues that matter most to ADVION members.

Ashleigh truly embodies the heart and mission of ADVION, and we couldn’t be prouder to celebrate her as this year’s Member of the Year! 💙👏
