Meet Michael Hooper, LPC-one of our amazing therapists at Integrative Health Services, LLC!

Michael is a certified trauama specialist and one of our licensed therapists serving clients in both our Pelham and Alabaster offices. Michael brings a calm, grounded, and non-judgmental presence into the therapy room. He works with teens, adults, and families—helping them navigate anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, communication challenges, and the everyday complexities of being human.

Michael believes healing happens when we feel seen, understood, and supported. Michael is often complimented on his approach which blends compassion, practical strategies, and meaningful reflection so clients can create real change in their day-to-day lives.

🌿 Life in Balance: What Our Therapists Were Up To This Week 💛

At Integrative Health Services, we believe healing doesn’t just happen in session — it also happens in the simple, everyday moments that bring us back to ourselves.

This week, our team took time to slow down, breathe, and enjoy life outside the office. One therapist spent a peaceful afternoon surrounded by chickens (because sometimes calm comes with feathers and sunshine). Another enjoyed some much-needed one-on-one time with his son. One took a well-earned break to tidy up and unwind on her porch in preparation for a weekend of pumpkin carving and another soaked up sweet moments with her daughters. One cozied up knitting beside her cat, and another found focus and creativity working on a LEGO masterpiece.

Someone else got a much-needed reset at the park with their pup — and one of our therapists tried out a new pub in Montréal while on vacation! 🍻🐾

Each of these small, ordinary moments remind us that self-care doesn’t have to be grand to be meaningful — it just has to be intentional. 🌸

Here’s to the little things that keep us grounded, grateful, and connected — both in and outside the therapy room. 💫

Meet Krista Chick, LPC, NCC — a dedicated therapist with Integrative Health Services! 💙

Krista works out of our Pelham office (both in-person and via telehealth) and brings years of experience helping clients through life transitions, relationships, anxiety, and healing from past hurts.

Krista also holds licensure in Tennessee in addition to Alabama, expanding her capacity to serve clients across state lines.

She’s passionate about creating a safe, compassionate space to explore boundaries, self-awareness, and personal growth. Krista believes healing is possible — and together, clients can remove barriers that hold them back and move toward their best selves.

Meet Jordan Vann, LPC, NCC — one of our amazing therapists at Integrative Health Services! 🌿

Jordan provides 100% remote counseling for clients who prefer or need the flexibility of meeting from home. Because she’s licensed in Alabama, she can work with clients anywhere in the state through secure telehealth sessions.

Her compassionate, evidence-based approach helps clients navigate anxiety, stress, relationships, and life transitions — all from the comfort and privacy of their own space.

We’re so grateful for Jordan’s dedication to making therapy more accessible and for the warmth, professionalism, and care she brings to our team. 💙

Dorian recently joined our Alabaster office to help meet the growing demand for counseling services in the community. In addition to seeing clients in the clinic, she also provides school-based therapy through our agency — supporting students where they are and helping them navigate life’s challenges with compassion and care.

Dorian is currently under the supervision of Shea Miller, RPT, LPC-S, and brings a heart-centered, integrative approach to helping clients grow and heal. She enjoys incorporating play therapy techniques in her work with younger clients and also loves supporting adults through different stages of life. We’re so excited to have her bringing her warmth, expertise, and dedication to the Alabaster team. 💬🌿

We’re proud to share a huge success! 🌟

Integrative Health Services, alongside Upward Behavioral Health, Lawley Counseling, and Sparrow Counseling, recently co-hosted The Confident Therapist Conference — an NBCC and ASWB-approved event providing continuing education to more than 60 providers across the state of Alabama.

This event was a celebration of collaboration, education, and community. Together, we’re committed to strengthening the mental-health profession by partnering with other trusted counseling agencies to promote growth, share knowledge, and expand services statewide. 🤝

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this day inspiring and impactful — the energy, learning, and connection were unmatched! 💛
