This past week, Founder Michelle Knight spent five days in St. Louis alongside some of the top group practice owners in the country, many of whom she considers trusted colleagues, close friends, and mentors.

Michelle is intentional about placing herself in environments where expectations are high, conversations are honest, and growth is required. If Integrative Health Services is going to continue expanding access and raising the standard of mental health care, leadership must be willing to keep learning.

Not casually. Not occasionally. Consistently.

While there were plenty of laughs and meaningful memories made, the week was also rooted in difficult conversations about what it truly takes to lead well, grow responsibly, and continue raising the bar, not just within one organization, but throughout communities across Alabama.

By attending spaces like this, Michelle continues to grow as a leader and brings that growth back to IHS. It influences how leaders are developed, how clinicians are supported, and how the entire team continues striving toward excellence in care.

The ideas, accountability, and collaboration from this past week will directly shape how Integrative Health Services continues to operate, grow, and serve.

This is not about keeping up.
It is about setting the bar.

At Integrative Health Services, our mission remains steady:

“We bring warmth and compassion. You bring courage and willingness. Together, this is healing.”

Everything we do is grounded in I CARE:

Integrity
Compassionate Communication
Authenticity
Resilience
Empowerment

May is Mental Health Awareness Month—a time to pause, reflect, and remind ourselves that mental health is just as important as physical health. 💚

Whether it’s taking a moment to breathe, asking for help, setting boundaries, or simply checking in with yourself… every small step matters.

🧠 Fun Fact: Did you know that Sigmund Freud—often called the father of psychoanalysis—was born in May? His work helped shape how we understand the human mind, emotions, and behavior today.

Mental health conversations have come a long way since Freud’s time, but one thing remains the same: healing begins when we’re willing to talk about it.

This month, we encourage you to:
✨ Check in with yourself
✨ Reach out to someone you trust
✨ Prioritize your well-being without guilt

You are not alone—and you don’t have to carry it all by yourself. 💙

This past Saturday, we had the honor of being part of the Addiction Walk, and we’re still reflecting on what it meant. 💙

To everyone who stopped by our booth—whether to say hello, share your story, or simply connect—thank you. Those moments mattered more than you know.

Events like this bring a mix of emotions that are hard to put into words. There is so much hope and joy in seeing individuals walking in recovery—open, honest, and choosing a new path forward. That kind of courage is powerful, and it’s something we celebrate deeply.

At the same time, there is a quiet grief you can feel all around… in the eyes of loved ones walking to remember someone they’ve lost. That kind of pain doesn’t need words—it’s simply felt. And we carry that with us, too.

Both of these realities exist side by side—the hope, the heartbreak, the healing, and the remembering.

Events like this are important to us not only as mental health providers, but also as a second chance employer. We believe in recovery, in redemption, and in creating opportunities for people to rebuild their lives with dignity and support. Being present in spaces like this reminds us why that mission matters so much.

We’re grateful to be part of a community that shows up—for recovery, for remembrance, and for each other. And we remain committed to creating a space where people can find support, connection, and a path forward—no matter where they are in their journey.

If you came out this weekend, we see you. We honor you. And we’re thankful we got to stand alongside you. 💙

April is Admin Appreciation Month, and we want to take a moment to recognize three incredible people who are the backbone of what we do at Integrative Health Services, LLC 💙

✨ Charlotte Woodside – the one who works tirelessly behind the scenes to help our clients understand their benefits and navigate insurance billing with clarity and care.

✨ Chris Lorino – our Operations Manager, who keeps everything running smoothly and ensures our systems are strong, efficient, and aligned so our team can do their best work every day.

✨ Valecia Neuwerth– the voice of our agency and our Care Coordinator, who compassionately connects clients with the right therapist and helps them take that first step in their counseling journey.

These three don’t always get the spotlight but they are essential to everything we do. Because of them, our agency runs with intention, our team feels supported, and our clients experience a safe, welcoming space from the very beginning.

We are so grateful for each of you and the heart you bring to this work. Thank you for all you do—seen and unseen—to make Integrative Health Services such a meaningful place to work and to receive care. 💙

April has been a full and meaningful month for us at Integrative Health Services, LLC.

As a team, we intentionally slowed down to come together, reflect, and do the important work of redefining who we are and how we serve. Through collaboration, honest conversations, and shared purpose, we created our updated core values and mission statement..

These aren’t just words on a page. They are the standard we hold ourselves to, the way we show up for one another, and the foundation of the care we provide to every client we serve.

You’ll see moments of our collaboration where we shared real conversations, real connection, and a team committed to growth and accountability. This is the heart of our culture.

“I CARE” isn’t just something we say. It’s how we lead, how we serve, and how we help others heal.
