This past spring semester, we have had 2 students finish up clinical rotations with us. Lizzie is a PT student at Belmont who just finished her pelvic rotation with Lindsay. This patient’s main goal is to return to Ohio with a functional hand — only problem was she lacked active wrist extension. Our OT, Kaitlyn, fabricated this dynamic wrist extension orthosis to achieve the patient’s goal! Patient left satisfied and excited to return home with her family.
