Well I have a very unique project for once. It's to few and far between that I get to basically build a 1911 from scratch. Fit the upper to the reciever. Fit the heavy barrel 9mm to the frame. I had to hog off alot from the barrel to get it to transition correctly. Missing just 3 parts to complete the project. But I'm moving forward with everything else I have. The ejector, plunger tube and firing pin stop. I'll update this project as it progresses. Alabama Shootist. Professional Gunsmithing

DPMS, AR-15, 556 caliber, was cerakoted in sig sauer dark gray on the reciever and new mag pull forearm. A 3 pound trigger job was done with polishing trigger points past 3000 grit and using JP Precision springs. An Arken 1 x 8 scope was installed and bore sighted in.

Prodigy 2011, 9mm action job and trigger kit. EGW kits are the best for the Prodigy. I have done several recently. Turns out there's a recall on the hammers in the kits because they have been breaking during the installation process. The hammer strut pin is very difficult to pound out of the factory hammer.

It needs to be started with a hole pin punch and then pressed in with a vice. But while I tried to hammer it just in a half a millimeter the hammer broke. Contacted the third party company, "under world arms" I order it from and they sent me a replacement hammer. Today I found out EGW had a recall on all the hammers recent batch was breaking like the one I had. Installed the replacement hammer and completed the action job as well as changing out the recoil spring to a lighter weight. Fyi, I don't recommend using the kits main spring because you can have light primer strickes.

Smith & Wesson model 10, in 38 special Came in extremly rusted outside surface and badly rusted internals. Complete dissasembly and scrubbed with 0000 steel wool. Next into the ultrasonic cleaner. Last step was high polished the gun.

It's been almost 10 months since I made it to the range to shoot my own guns for once. This was also the first time I have been shooting since the ar-15 exploded on me last year. I was definitely nervous and I started out shooting my 357 magnum loads out of my 2.5 inch ch***pa rhino. So it took a few minutes to tighten up my groups. Then shot my fn 509 tactical with an apex tactical trigger kit installed. Then my hk vp9 tactical needed to zero the holosun. From there shot my sig sauer p226 west german that I did a trigger job to and added a muzzle brake. That gun shot extremely well with very little recoil. Next was my sig p365 xl with an icurus precision lower and a muzzle brake. Then I shot my sig p320/ m18 for the first time. It's a very nice shooting gun. But I did have to get used to it. I went back and shot another 50 rounds out of my p226 to end the range day. Was so much fun to getting some lead down range. I shot all my targets at 15 yards and 50 rounds out of each gun except tge p226 was a hundred total.
