We’re excited to introduce Jamie Foster, MSN, FNP-C, to our pediatric team! Jamie earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and brings a strong background in pediatric healthcare to our practice. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked as a nurse in both the Neonatal intensive care unit and Pediatric intensive care unit, caring for some of the most medically complex infants and children. She had also served as a nursing professor, teaching pediatric nursing to future nurses.

Jamie is passionate about providing compassionate, family-centered care and loves building lasting relationships with patients and their families. Outside of work, she is a busy mom of three who enjoys traveling and making memories with her family. We are thrilled to have her as part of our team and know our patients will love getting to know her!💗

Each week, we’ll be spotlighting one of the amazing doctors and nurse practitioners who care for your children at Main Street Pediatrics 💙

This week, we’re featuring Rhonda Coker, CRNP

✨ Fun fact: When she’s not caring for our patients, you can usually find her curled up with a good book. She may be short, but her compassion and dedication to families are anything but!🩷

I have worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2019. I graduated from UAB's MSN-FNP program in 2018, the ADN program at Gadsden State Community College in 2006, and earned a BS in an unrelated field from Southern Adventist College in 1989. I spent over 13 years working as a staff nurse on medical/surgical units and as an End Stage Renal Disease nurse. My time working with dialysis patients was what spurred me to pursue a Master's Degree in Nursing. My goal is to prevent as many people as possible from ending up on dialysis, by teaching the importance of controlling blood sugar levels and blood pressure levels through diet and lifestyle changes, and with medication if needed.

We’re so thankful for the compassion, knowledge, and dedication Rhonda Coker brings to our families every day.
