Hello Pell City,
My name is Lauren Kasi Freeman. I am a Mental Health Counselor, owner of LKF Counseling, and public speaker. After 8 successful years in Birmingham, LKF Counseling is opening a new location in downtown Pell City.
Little about me-- I grew up in Lincoln, AL and went to school in Pell City. To provide services to the community that helped shape me is a honor.
As a clinician, I have several counseling specialities: Trauma and Abuse Counseling and ADHD/ Autism Counseling. I have worked with children as young as four to early adulthood who have experienced childhood trauma and abuse, including SA, human trafficking, and family support. I've worked with children of all ages, DHR/Foster care, adoption issues, adjustment issues, and more in in the school systems, at agency, and at my private practice.
As a neuro-divergent person, I provide a safe learning environment to learn about how our brains work and how to use that knowledge to help these individuals lead their best lives!
Another speciality, I am passionate about is Postpartum Mood Disorders. While working with children, you have to understand the importance of the parents and family. And as the saying goes, if momma ain't happy...
