Heads up!

Our Shelter will be closed on Tuesday, April 7 for a routine deep clean. This helps us keep a safe, healthy space for the animals in our care and the people who love them.

We’ll be back open and ready to welcome you on Thursday! 🐾

STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING. THIS IS OUR LAST CHANCE.

SB361 has 3 days left.
If it is not picked, it will die—quietly, with no accountability.

🚨 THIS IS OUR LAST CHANCE.

SB361 already passed the Senate 34–1.
Now it’s sitting in the hands of the Alabama House Rules Committee—and if they don’t act, it will never get a vote.

Not because people don’t support it.
Not because it failed.
But because it was never allowed to be heard.

On Tuesday at 10:00 AM, we’re showing up on the steps of the Alabama State House to make one thing clear:
Let SB361 Be Heard.

This bill sets basic humane standards for dogs kept outdoors.
It protects farmers, hunters, and working dogs.
And it has already proven it has the support to pass.

What it needs now… is a chance.
📍 Tuesday | 10:00 AM

If you’ve called, emailed, or shared—this is the moment to stand behind it.

Be there. Be seen. Be heard.

Bring a friend. Share this post. Show up.

STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING. THIS IS STILL LEGAL IN ALABAMA.

We see dogs living like this far too often—
chained, confined, and suffering in unsafe conditions.

SB361 would require basic care:
food, water, shelter.

Nothing extreme.

But right now, it may never even get a vote.

That means your voice—and theirs—never gets heard.

Call, email, tag them, and drive to Montgomery if you are able.

Contact Nathaniel Ledbetter, Joe Lovvorn, and your House Representative.

Tell them: Let SB361 be heard.

Walks are better with a friend!

For National Take a Walk in the Park day, Dakota wants to be that friend – he just might also bring his toy.

Come meet your new walking buddy at our shelter!

More of a homebody? We’ve got plenty of couch pets too. Or you can donate to help provide the care every pet needs while they wait for their forever home.

Tag your walking buddy and help them find their match.

Thinking about adding a puppy to your family? This is your sign. 🐾

It’s National Puppy Day, and this week you can adopt a puppy for just $25.
Right now, we have puppies ready to go home. They're ready for couches, toys, and a life where they’re safe and loved.

And while you’re changing one life today, we’re working to protect them all — through Beau’s Law (SB361), which would establish basic standards of care for dogs across Alabama.

🐶 Adopt this week for $25
