Day 1 of our Generation of Innovation Week has begun and we went back to the fabulous 1940’s! The chandelier shined bright as Hollywood royalty graced us-John Wayne strode through tipping his hat followed by Bette Davis with her eyes commanding the room! Legends live forever and they still know how to make an entrance!
Straight from the Golden Ages of the 1940s, The Texaco Star Theater Talk Show, featuring Mr. Television himself, Miton Berle, joined by 2 of this decades biggest stars, the brillant Albert Einstein and the incomparable Frank Sinatra lit up the stage with the true magic of Hollywood history!
We dined at McDonads (opened in 1940 pioneering the modern fast food model) for a classic lunch, sizzling cheeseburgers, crispy fries and a hot apple pie, strolled through the aisles of 2 neighborhood staples-Walgreens and 7-Eleven each laying the groundwork for convenience, candy, snacks and drinks werent just treats, every bite and sip celebrated resilience and commercials were experimental during this erea which included catchy jingles and tunes that stuck in your head after just one listen! 🎶
Watch the amazing transformation unfold all week long, Hollywood Stars, Dazzling Talk Shows, Fast Food beginnings, iconic commercials, changing logos/advertisements and the rise of Walgreens and 7-Eleven-you won’t want to miss a minute!! 🎬
