WE WILL NO LONGER ACCEPT PRECOUNTED ORDERS IN BLACK BAGS. WE HAVE HAD TOO MANY PEOPLE PUT NONDEPOSIT CONTAINERS IN THE BAGS. YOU CAN PURCHASE OUR BAGS OR DUMP THEM INTO OUR BAGS WHEN YOU GET HERE.

WE ALSO RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE YOUR COUNT IF IT DOES NOT LOOK ACCURATE. YESTERDAY WE HAD A CUSTOMER WHO HAD 135 LESS THAN WHAT SHE TOLD US SHE HAD.

WHEN WE HAVE ENOUGH EMPLOYEES, WE WILL HAVE 1 PERSON AVAILABLE TO COUNT CONTAINERS FOR CUSTOMERS.

IT GETS HARDER AND HARDER TO OFFER SERVICES TO PEOPLE WHO ABUSE THE SYSTEM. WE KEEP THE FRONT DOOR OPEN FOR THE CUSTOMERS WHO APPRECIATE WHAT WE DO. IF THESE KIND OF ISSUES CONTINUE, WE WILL NO LONGER ALLOW PRECOUNTS AND ONLY DO ESTIMATES.

ALL OF THE ITEMS BELOW CAME FROM FROM 1 PRECOUNTED ORDER. NONE OF THEM HAVE DEPOSITS.

Sheri’s s**t show winter edition. I made a little old lady cry today…..but, it’s not what you think.

This sweet lady came in yesterday with a bunch of containers in her car. She either calls ahead or steps inside so we can help her because she has a cane. She had quite a few and asked if we would count them and we did.

Today she came back with even more, but tried to finagle them inside the building herself. I stopped her and told her we would take care of getting them out, counting them, and bringing her the money.

When we finished I brought the money to her in the car and with tears rolling down her cheeks she told me she felt bad for bringing in so many and not helping but she desperately needs the money for food etc. I told her to never feel bad. We will always help her and others who are in the same situation.

While we have changed so that everyone comes through the front door, if you are handicapped or elderly and need help, you are always welcome to come to the west side door where there isn’t a ramp or call ahead and we will come to your car get your containers and bring back your money.

I also have a few employees right now so I will try to have one available to count containers if you prefer that. If you want to make sure you can call ahead and ask.

Monday through Friday 8:30-4:30

If you are bringing in precounted orders please make sure you are accurately counting them. We have doubled checked several orders and they have been wrong. I am hoping they are mistakes and not people trying to cheat the system. If it becomes an issue we will have to stop allowing precounted orders.

Our sheds have three new fundraising campaigns for January and February. Thank you for your continued support and generosity, which is greatly valued by the groups, as the funds raised make a significant difference in their fundraising efforts!!

Sheri’s s**t show December 31, 2025.

I came back to work today. 3 weeks after a total knee replacement. Everything was going pretty well…..until 3:40…..tell me why oh why I chose the last day of the year to work. lol

Michael, was his name, called and said he was coming from Oskaloosa. I told him that we close at 4:00 and the only way he would possibly make it is if he had our clear estimated bags. He shows up at 4:07 and I go ahead and let him in. He starts carrying in black bags and asks who was going to count his cans and again I explained to him that we would only estimate what he had. He wasn’t happy and asked me how was I going to do that. I again explained how. He didn’t want to have them estimated so he left.

He then calls on the phone to tell me that I wasted his time by not counting them and why I didn’t tell him we wouldn’t count them. (I did tell him when he called). He then asked if the Pepsi and Coke companies knew what I was doing. I explained that I’m a private business and Coke and Pepsi don’t get to tell me how to run my business. He then told me that I wasted his time and he had 15,000 followers and was going to ruin my business for not counting his cans.

DUDE!! You showed up after we closed! You were told when you called what to expect. Plus! The last time someone decided they were going to ruin my business it led me to 350 new views, 3 new followers, and 2 new out of town business customers.

So Michael! Please go ahead and do what you think is best while you explain that I stayed late to help you and offered to pay you for your containers and didn’t kick you out the minute you decided to be rude to me.

This girl should have stayed home one more day!! 🤣🙄🤪😋

Physical therapy has changed a little bit this week.
Tuesday, December 16, we will close from 9:15 until 11:00.
Friday, December 19, we will be open at 10:00.
Our regular winter hours for the rest of the week are 8:30-4:00.
Thank you for your kindness and support while I recover from my knee replacement.
