In my 6 years of vendoring on the road, I have learned SO much! And continue to learn more every single event. A few weeks ago I drove to a event, the weather was icky, the wind was so bad I went through 250$ in diesel driving 2.5hrs in head wind, things broke, I improvised and kept going.l, with lots of encouragement from my husband and family.

The event didnt go as planned due to weather and costed me money. Which is hard as a small business owner. MOST people dont understand when they ask a food truck to come/and or get multiple food trucks for a small event, we dont even break even. THIS business came out at the end and gave me 500$ to help with my expenses. This was a FIRST in 6 years. Normally I cry most the way home trying to think of ways to recoup my losses. I have tried minimums, they dont always work.
My point is in this long post. Is if you have a event for 100 people. ONLY 1/3 of the people order something. With food costs, vendor fees doubling this year all over, insurance, diesel, propane, low attendance etc...we are lucky if we break even.

CHEERS to the people that have respect, understand at least a smidgen of our food truck life, and take that into consideration. :) im thankful, for all the love I get from some amazing customers and friends/family.
