Hard to believe we have been at this for 6 years ..right before the pandemic hit. God has been good to our little business and we continue to give Him the praise for each smile that comes from our sweet treats .

Hi everyone, thank you for visiting (and hopefully liking😉) our page. Here is a little bit of background on our company, and the reason behind the name HomeRun Creamery:

Since January 2020, Carter Pharmacy has sold homemade icecream, gelato and sorbet to Pembroke and throughout Robeson County. Few customers, however, knew that these treats were made at our in-house creamery, HomeRun Creamery.

HomeRun Creamery was started as the brainchild of Spencer Carter, co-owner and husband of Carter Pharmacy pharmacist, Melanie. When choosing a name for his business, Spencer knew that he wanted it to encompass his family's love of baseball. He had served as a baseball coach to the area youth, and his sons, Matthias and Micah, were both standouts on their baseball teams, including Dixie Youth, Pembroke Middle School, Purnell Swett High School, and Methodist University.

After much brainstorming, Carter Pharmacy employee, Lauren White, came up with the name HomeRun Creamery. We hope our treats live up to their namesake and that they are a homerun hit with you and your family and friends!

In observance of Good Friday and the Easter holiday, and in recognition of its meaning, Carter Pharmacy and HomeRun Creamery will close at 12:30 PM on Friday, April 3rd. We will resume normal business hours on Monday, April 6th.
