Moonshot Yoga & Wellness Welcome to Moonshot Yoga & Wellness where we "take the leap" and put movement, exploration, and self-appreciation at the forefront of our health. Hello!

My name is Abi, and I teach vinyasa yoga classes to both experienced and aspiring yoga practitioners. I am a former gymnast and cheerleader who, from early life, developed a love and appreciation of using dynamic movements to stretch and strengthen my body. Yoga asana has many physical commonalities to my past athletic experiences, which is what lead me to this practice. I recently decided to take my practice to the next level by becoming a certified yoga teacher, and I am very excited to be practicing alongside all of you! My favorite thing about yoga is the adaptability. Its purpose can change daily. During my vinyasa class, I use the poses to create balance between breath and movement. Today, I might use my practice to manage stress from everyday responsibilities. Tomorrow, I might use it for injury recovery or to simply improve my posture and flexibility. You can modify your yoga practice to benefit you in whatever way you need in that moment. Fun personal facts about me:

• I’m a dog person. I have 2 german shepherds; Dredd & Martian. They are the absolute coolest!

• My go-to coffee shop order: spiced chai latte (hot) with vanilla and coconut milk.

• If I could, I would eat steak and shrimp hibachi every day of my life.

• My perfect day includes spending QT outside with my husband and dogs, reading a good book, cooking dinner and s’mores on the campfire, watching the sunset, and stargazing.

• I’m most inspired by my loved ones and by my experiences in nature.

• I love storms. If I weren’t a yoga teacher, I’d be a tornado chaser.

• My ideal yoga student is anyone who is willing to be challenged and comes to class with a curious and open mind.

Good morning, yogis!

Starting Saturday night (tomorrow), I’ll be taking a short offline retreat to detox and recharge. I’ll be back soon with a well-rested mind, body, and spirit, ready to share renewed energy with all of you! 😌

In the meantime, here are a few recommended mini wellness rituals to add to your daily routine:

- 5-10 rounds of sun salutations for a snack size vinyasa practice. Sun salutations provide a perfect mix of physical, mental, and energetic benefits. If you need some guidance, I’ve shared a 5-round video below for you to follow along!

- 5-10 minute walk outside after each meal. Pro tip: walk without distractions; no phones or headphones. Really notice the sights, sounds, and sensations of each moment.

- gratitude practice. Place your hand(s) over your heart, close your eyes, and silently acknowledge 3-5 things you are grateful for.

Even little moments of care can make a big difference. I look forward to reconnecting with you soon! 🫶🏽
