A quick and easy snack to kick off fall—sesame seed balls! Sesame seeds are packed with nutrients that support the liver and kidneys. They also improve skin, hair and bone health, strengthen Yin and help counteract fall’s dryness.

We’ll be snacking today. 😋 Let us know what you think!

INGREDIENTS
2 cups white sesame seeds
2 tablespoons melted butter
¼ cup of honey
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon cinnamon

RECIPE
• Dry roast the sesame seeds until you can smell them, but be careful not to burn them.
• Grind them as finely as possible, then stir in the other ingredients and press them together.
• Let the mixture cool and harden.
• Wet your hands and shape the mixture into marble-sized balls and they’re ready to serve.

Let us know if you try them!

Here's something I get asked a lot: Why do we *almost always* place a needle at the top of your head?

That point—Du 20—isn’t just powerful, it’s foundational. It's also known as “Hundred Convergences,” where important energy pathways converge. It’s where all of the channels in your body meet, meaning it can be used to treat the entire body.

Because of that, it’s often used to:
🌿 Calm the nervous system
🌀 Balance your Qi
📈 Support emotional clarity and focus
🪷 Anchor the spirit (Shen)

Essentially, DU 20 helps your whole system communicate more clearly. It gently brings your body into alignment, like pressing the reset button at the start of each session.

And now you know! If you're curious about any other points, let me know in the comments!

One last tea to wrap up our look at some of my favorites ... Don’t let the sting fool you, nettle is one of nature’s gentlest healers.

Stinging nettle is used to nourish the blood, support the kidneys, and gently clear heat and toxins. It’s especially helpful for easing seasonal allergies, supporting healthy hair and skin, and rebuilding strength after stress or illness.

Think of it as a daily tonic: grounding, replenishing and deeply mineral-rich. A warm cup of nettle tea might be exactly what your body’s been asking for. 🍵

Tulsi—also known as holy basil—is one of my favorite teas, and I recommend it a lot. It's a calming adaptogen with deep roots in traditional healing.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, tulsi is known for its ability to calm the Shen (spirit), ease stress, and support the heart, lungs and digestion. It gently clears heat, lifts the mood, and helps the body adapt to physical and emotional stress.

Sip tulsi tea when you need a moment of balance—a steady exhale for your nervous system and a quiet boost for your resilience. 💚

Turmeric is both trendy and time-tested.✨

Known in Traditional Chinese Medicine as jiang huang, turmeric is used to invigorate blood, move Qi and ease pain, especially in the joints and abdomen. Its warm, spicy nature makes it ideal for addressing stagnation and inflammation.🌿✨

Whether you're managing chronic pain, PMS or post-workout soreness, turmeric can be a powerful ally when used intentionally and in harmony with your body's needs.

Curious how it fits into your care plan? Let’s talk. Have you tried adding turmeric?
