Good Morning! Early Bird gets - a pile of snow … but then a full feeder of delictable spicy bird seed (sorry DeerBirds).
It sure is cold outside … so my Word of the Day is BRRRRR rather than Bird. I had to choose short boots or tall boots - well ‘tall’ won … but sliding feet into frozen plastic was quite a feat (or was it feet-feat?). I did quite an interesting dance putting on and removing … but had dry feet!
Being outside before the sun in my fuzzy robe and frozen plastic defined that BRRRRR would be my Word of the Day!
So bundle up and be safe today … because it sure is cold out there!

Good Morning! Unfortunately my Word of the Day is CLOSED as in due to the nasty weather, and unsafe driving conditions … I decided to CLOSE our little Toothbarn.
Yesterday (before the temps dropped more), I took a trial run to the office … and without other cars on the road … I slide through an intersection. I called (and left messages for those I could not speak to), so no one set out unnecessarily.
Personally, I have been through much worse snow storms (blizzard of 77 in Buffalo - from the snow belt!), but the volume of this snow and the cold just makes travel flat out dangerous.
Dr Cohen, the ToothFairies and I will do our best to accommodate your scheduling needs when we can reopen (I plan on tomorrow).
So CLOSED is my sad Word of the Day - I am going out to slay my driveway.

Good Morning! It has been a bit too cold to sit on the Sunporch, so I have been couchbound while trolling all media sources about the storm. This storm with all of its - look what it has done, where is it going, and more importantly how do we prepare - could be my Word of the Day … but that is not fun so I went in another direction.
As I sat on my couch, I noticed a SIGN that I must do something today. You can see in my picture that my little Christmas Tree is still up. While I do like looking at it … I noticed a SIGN from some of its occupants.
The guys under … seem to be staring up wondering ‘Why is this thing still up?’
A very good question … for which I don’t have an answer. So with this SIGN, I have a project for the day … I thought it would be crazy snow by now … so I could make decisions about tomorrow, but I still need more information.
So my Word of the Day is SIGN … I have one SIGN down and am waiting for more.

Good Morning! I am sitting with many new (but not very happy looking) friends at the URMC lab to offer up a bit of blood for an upcoming check up.
It is bright sun, but crazy cold outside there. Don’t be fooled - bundle up!
I have been monitoring the weather as much as I can - and will make a decision about Monday’s office open or closed by mid afternoon. Right now I am leaning hard to closing again. If I had a safe way to transport our ToothFairies and friends we would be fine … and I know that (just like me in scheduling doctors appointments) it is difficult when you juggle time out of work then it gets changed - which is my struggle for today.
So ‘struggle’ could be my Word of the Day; or snow; or cold; or storm … but they are not fun! (Ok snow can be big fun - but in in storm amounts). So my Word of the Day is FUN WITH SNOW or more accurately SOMEONE (RHONDA) TOOK MY PHONE AND HAD FUN WITH A PICTURE - but that is kind of long.
So I hope my modified picture gives you a laugh before the storm arrives.

Good Morning! There were such big plans to pop up like a toaster, and start my non clinical day off organizing my projects for later doing! In two hours I did get my trash toats out to the end of the driveway … oh and I found my watch.
So Productivityis not my Word of the Day!
Projects and Project plans will have to wait, because my actual Word of the Day is LEARNIN’ (remember that my rules are that spelling doesn’t matter).
The Straumann Dental Implant (and more) company has invited me to attend a seminar in Pittsford today. Straumann is a Great Company and I always LEARN a great deal in their lectures. Maybe I will wear my new Christmas present made by my friend Cindy (sneaky way to show off my new shirt).
Oops time to primp for my big LEARNIN’ day!

Good Morning, Dr Slowpoke has not gotten to his desk for computer work yet … I think there is something in this coffee keeping me stuck to my couch - could be the DELICIOUSNESS. Yes, this morning I mixed the absolute perfect amount of girly creamer with the Jimakame coffee at the correct temperature to render me powerless to do anything other than sit and smile while I listen to seventies music.
I will be saved shortly by my need to remove the coffee from my old man system … but for now I am enjoying my Word of the Day - DELICIOUSNESS reminiscing with my family past and present in my head just smiling!

Good Morning! It sure has been chilly the past few days. I thought I saw a few of my bird friends snuggled under SuperSquirrel for warmth! My new spicy seed mixture must be a welcome snack!
Well my Word of the Day is A LITTLE TO THE LEFT … huh what is that all about Doc?
This morning when my alarm went off at 5:00, I did not want to leave my covers to start my day … so (yes you guessed it) - ‘Alexa snooze’ and I lost 30 minutes of paperwork time - over compensated!
As I washed a few late night dishes, I did a microwave reheat of some fridge coffee. (Yes I so that to my coffee-snob friends) First run - still too cold - one more spin and back to the dishes.
I heard the ‘I am done song’ by the microwave, but didn’t register it in my head - then saw the cup in microwave - thinking oops I forgot to warm it, and hit the button again!
Ahhhh - nuclear coffee - again overcompensated! As you can see in my picture … like moving a couch … I had to go A LITTLE TO THE LEFT to fix my first fix by adding a few ice cubes (there were two).
So this may be a Correct then Recorrect back - to Correct again etc etc day!

Good Morning! My BILLS light is out this morning after I heard yesterday’s new that Mr McDermott was dismissed from coaching the Buffalo BILLS.
I did not know Mr McDermott, I don’t know the inner workings and dynamics of the team, I don’t know that much about football itself - but that man just seems like a Good Man.
Mr McDermott represented our city so well - down to earth, hard working and respectable. Anyone who follows the Buffalo Bills has to admit that they have been prey to some questionable officiating over the years (with last Saturday being a straight out Cheat); and Mr McDermott never hide behind those - he chose his word well and prepared for the next play.
Mr McDermott you will be missed - by this fan and many others - my door is always open to you - because I believe you are a good honorable man who leads men in the proper way - with honesty, honor and determination.
So very sadly, my Word of the Day is BOO BILLS; BOO TERRY PEGULA.

Today we celebrate a wise man: MARTIN LITHER KING JR who was killed before he could do all of the good that was in him.
‘All men are created equal’ should not be a revelation, but an understanding. Skin color just doesn’t matter … what matters is how you act towards your fellow man.
To Aliens looking down at our planet - we are all alike: 2 arms, 2 legs, torso, and head.

Bad Morning. This is going to be a Rant about the Buffalo Bills game yesterday - and not funny at all.
With that warning; here goes. My Word of the Day is CHEAT, and CHEATED. Conspiracy? I don’t know - and-why … would be the question. with that said, this was just another year when a ‘questionable’ referee’s call changed the outcome of a game - going against the Buffalo Bills.
My text friends pointed to all of the turnovers that lost the game. They sure didn’t help. In the second half the Buffalo Bills overcame those turnovers and actually took the lead. Utt oh! What are you going to do now … you striped wearing CHEATER? This is overtime - how can you steal the game from Buffalo?
First, the long pass to Cook. It sure was close … the replay was tough to see … but I saw a catch (if it was simultaneous - it goes to the offense), then Cook was totally touched when he was on the ground - play over - Bills ball … nice job Josh!
Time to CHEAT - no - the ball was taken away (when he was down on the ground?). Well it was overtime and no challenge flags aloud - to keep the game going … not a problem … this play was close enough (and chubby ref was not in a good position to see it) to go to replay. You know one or more of the thousand cameras that watch the game - to get it correct. No review was sought (sounds a little like ‘No Goal’ Buffalo). If the excuse was that the clock was running - well coach McDermott was kind enough to use a time out to give the referees (and powers that be) time to ‘do their jobs’ review what is too difficult to see in live action … a play can can 100% determine the outcome of the game … but they refused! How can that be? Isn’t getting it right important?
Shortly after that … to really cement the CHEAT - flags were flying to push denver down rhe field (Mr White should not have lost his cool and removed his helmet … but we all felt the frustration of the Big CHEAT).
That is why CHEAT is my word of the day - thank you to all of the Buffalo Bills players, coaches, staff and my fellow Bills fans for a fun year …. Boo to you NFL. I don’t know your agenda (probably money in some way) - I hope you suffer for you CHEATING ways.

Good Morning! It was a no alarm day - so I seemed to miss 5:00am (actually I didn’t miss it at all) - hello 6:30!
It was pretty cold and dark on the Sunporch … but with a thick robe, open kitchen door (physics lesson - heat flows to cold), my little heater, and a few cups of coffee … it was lovely!
As I sat here scrolling my phone … I looked around, and NO EARLY BIRD (Word of the Day alert). For over an hour, all I had were a few nutty squirrels. I think that whole EARLY BIRD thing is a myth. From my observation - that should be changed to the EARLY Squirrel! Sure - they don’t chirp to announce their arrival, but they are consistent!
This epiphany may change my whole porch sitting ideas. Maybe SuperSquirrel was sent to show me the error of my ways? Just feed the Squirrels … they came 1st (as in the EARLY Squirrel gets the … well what ever they want because the BIRDS sleep in).
So NO EARLY BIRD is my Word of the Day … for now … and around 4:00 will change to GO BILLS!
