What’s better than sliced bread, you ask?! Homemade rosemary, olive, and parmesan sliced bread, that’s what! I couldn’t think of a more perfect way to welcome the fall season and embark on a new chapter than to create this slice of heaven using organic and simple ingredients, crafted in my own kitchen.
Here’s to the MSACN class of 2027 💚

Y’all BIG things are brewing behind the scenes over here 🤩and I thought this might be a good time to reintroduce myself:

👋 Hi, I’m Lindsay Rae!

I’m a massage therapist (shocker, I know 😉) and I’ve been practicing going on six years now. Though it’s hard for me to believe, I’ve also been teaching yoga on and off for nearly a decade 🧘‍♀️🤯. On top of that, a few years ago I graduated from Keuka College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology— summa cm laude.

At first that seems kind of random! 🤔You might be thinking, “what’s the connection between psychology and massage therapy?”. Well, while massage may not directly treat emotional or psychological conditions, there’s no denying the powerful impact it can have on both physical and mental well-being. It was at Keuka where I began to truly understand the depth of the psychosomatic relationship and how integral it is to whole-person wellness. Pretty fascinating! 🤓

Anyway, if you haven’t already guessed—I love learning. But more specifically, about integrative and alternative therapies. Most recently, I completed a course in Ayurveda from the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health and am on the path to Ayurvedic Health Counseling 🌿. Currently, I’m also studying from world renowned herbalist Rosemary Gladstar through her program, The Science and Art of Herbalism 🌺 . Both trainings have helped set the stage for my next BIG step in higher education: a Master’s of Science in Applied Clinical Nutrition at the Northeast College of Health Sciences, starting this fall! 🍎📚👩‍🎓

My aim is to build an integrative practice that combines the evidence-based science of nutrition, psychology and therapeutic massage with the wisdom of yoga, Ayurvedic and herbal medicine. This integration will expand my abilities as a holistic healthcare provider to better serve all of you, my community 💞. The end goal? To help individuals heal themselves from the inside out— naturally, holistically and intentionally. 😌💫

It’s not lazy gardening. It’s supporting a healthy ecosystem by living in synchronicity with nature. This practice leaves a subtle footprint and invites weeds, wildflowers, insects, frogs and snakes to call it home. By using this method, good bugs balance bad bugs. Absolutely zero insecticides, pesticides, herbicides, or any other -icides have touched this sacred space. How to do it? Let go. Let go of the need to control. What’s required? Maintain just enough space for your crops to grow. That’s all. Nature will take care of the rest.

…Symbolic? Maybe! 😉

It’s a dirty job, but someone’s gotta do it!
