Our Puppy Petting Orientation isnโ€™t just about cute puppies (although there will be plenty of that ๐Ÿ˜‰). Itโ€™s an important part of preparing our future service dogs for success.

During these sessions, volunteers learn how to appropriately handle and interact with our puppies, helping them build positive experiences, confidence, and strong foundations for their future work.

๐Ÿ€ Happy St. Patrickโ€™s Day from Bergin College of Canine Studies! ๐Ÿ€

Today weโ€™re feeling extra lucky to work alongside some incredible future service dogs. While we may not have pots of gold at the end of the rainbow, we do have wagging tails, hardworking students, and amazing dogs learning new skills every day. And that feels pretty lucky to us.

If youโ€™re feeling the St. Patrickโ€™s Day spirit, consider helping our program by becoming a puppy raiser, volunteer, foster, or supporter of our mission. Every little bit helps these future service dogs succeed.

๐Ÿ€ May your day be filled with a little luck, a lot of dog hair, and plenty of tail wags!

Quane says we need more of her favorite snacks !

We are running low on one of our most important training toolsโ€ฆ treats! From foundational obedience to public access and task training, reinforcement drives learning. With multiple dogs in training and daily sessions happening across campus, we go through treats quickly.

If you would like to support our dogs, please check out our Amazon Wishlist, we have several preferred training treats listed there for easy ordering and direct shipping to campus.

Every reward reinforces a behavior, and every donation helps build a future service dog. ๐Ÿถ

Right now, we are in need of larger crates for our growing dogs. Our puppies have officially outgrown their current kennels, and we want to ensure all of our future service dogs have safe, appropriately sized spaces for rest and downtime.

We will gladly accept any larger-sized kennels but the sizes we need the most are:
โ€ข 40-inch
โ€ข 42-inch

Proper crate size is critical for safety, comfort, and successful training. Our dogs spend time in crates for structured rest, travel, and building independence skills. They need enough room to stand, turn around, and lie down comfortably.

If you have a crate to donate or would like to purchase one for the program, please reach out at (707) 545-3647. We appreciate your support as it directly impacts the welfare and development of our future service dogs. ๐Ÿถ

๐Ÿšจ Urgent Foster Home Needed โ€“ Zabine is 9 months old and is seeking a loving foster home through at least the start of Fall 2026.

She is:
โœจ Very sweet and friendly
โœจ Loves to cuddle
โœจ Eager to learn and continue her training

As a foster, youโ€™ll provide the home, and weโ€™ll provide the support: Vet care, and Food. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a direct impact on a future service dog while having the sweetest cuddle buddy by your side. ๐Ÿ’›

If youโ€™re interested in fostering Zabine or would like more information, please message us directly or apply through our website.

Please share to help us find Zabine her next home! ๐Ÿถ
