I have seen several post now about the John C Marion Pharmacist, INC. pharmacy where I have worked at for almost 27 years is closing.
Unfortunately it is true. I want all of our patients to know that it has been an honor and a blessing to be able to take care of each and every one of you over all of these years. We also appreciate your patronage over the years and allowing us to take care of you. We consider you all like our family. If you have any questions regarding the pharmacy, you can give us a call at the pharmacy, call me personally, or call one of my coworkers and we can tell you anything you need to know about your prescriptions. Our closure is March 20, 2024.
This week I accepted a staff pharmacist position at Food City pharmacy in Pennington Gap, and two of the pharmacy technicians at our pharmacy may be going to Walgreens. This is a new chapter in our lives for all of us. We hope to make this transition as easy as we can. We know things will be hard for a couple of months, and we apologize for that and hope that all our patients bear with us through this change.
I myself want each person that I have ever gotten to know, encountered, and had the privilege to take care of at John Marion Pharmacy — to know that I truly appreciate all the years I myself have been able to serve and take care of you. I consider each of you as my friends and family. No matter where I am, or where you go, you will always be this to me and you can always ask me any questions that you need and I will answer and be there for you. Whether you are my current patient or my past patient or no patient ever at all— I am a pharmacist that will always try to answer any questions you have about your health and medication. I will be working as a staff pharmacist with Food City in Pennington Gap Virginia and anyone that wishes for me to still take care of them — the exact same as I have over the past 27 years — can contact me and I will take care of the rest. Gwen Fee and Sherry Miles Williams are the pharmacy technicians that should be going to Walgreens— they would be able to take care of you there.
Pharmacy really is a family thing. All the pharmacies in our area have wonderful pharmacists and pharmacy technicians that help patients every day with their healthcare and medications. That is something as a small community that we are blessed with.
Again, thank each one of you for allowing us at the pharmacy to take care of you all of these years. It has been an honor.
