We're excited to announce ✨ Magic in the Middle ✨, our new family camp offering for LGBTQ+ families! In collaboration with Murray Grove Retreat Center, we'll be hosting a fun-filled weekend for LGBTQ+ middle schoolers and their parents. Kids and families will have the opportunity to participate in bonding activities, workshops, nature adventures, and more.

Garden State Equality's Education and Youth Development Department is excited to be putting on our inaugural LGBTQ+ Youth Conference on Friday, August 8 at Bell Works!

This FREE full-day conference for q***r, trans, and allied youth (ages 14-21) will offer a balance of both educational workshops and fun breakout sessions. It's open to youth from around the Garden State will be filled with programming on making change in their communities, their rights as New Jersey students, and more.

What an amazing day I had at LGBTQ 401 on Saturday. So so proud of the youth speakers, so glad to be in community with such wonderful people, very grateful to my kid for joining. I got to table with all my books and speak on the mental health panel. One of my favorite days all year and it did not disappoint. Catherine J. Fulmer-Hogan, what you pulled off was spectacular.

Important reminder for hot weather!
If you're taking antidepressants like SSRIs or SNRIs (such as sertraline, citalopram, fluoxetine, duloxetine, or mirtazapine), you may be more prone to overheating and dehydration in hot weather.
Stay safe: stick to the shade, stay hydrated, and always wear sunscreen. Your health matters take care of yourself in the heat!
