Did you know the annual transition to Daylight Savings Time has health consequences in the two days following the change? The impact particularly effects women and older individuals.

-up to 29% increased risk of hearth attack
-17% increased risk of cardiac arrest
-6% increased risk of a fatal car crash

Heres what you can do to mitigate the adverse effects of DST on your body:

-Adjust your schedule in the week before the time change. Go to bed 15-20min earlier each day
-Adhere to good sleep hygiene. Limit light exposure and electronics one hour before bed
-If you're already sleep-deficient prior to DST, be aware of the impairment the change will cause
