🚨Tonight in Haddonfield 🚨

The commissioners are introducing a Trump ordinance making homelessness a crime in Haddonfield. The lone commissioner opposing this urgently needs a showing of solidarity opposing this ordinance. You don’t have to be from Haddonfield to be present or voice opposition.

There are currently 7 people experiencing homelessness in Haddonfield who need social services rather than jail time and a criminal record. The meeting is at 7:30 at Haddonfield Borough Hall.

✨ Imagine this with us… ✨
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

What if a housing developer intentionally designed homes for families living with severe autism?

So many of us are constantly repairing and retrofitting — steel doors, reinforced frames, coded locks, padded walls, elopement-proof fences — just to make our homes both safe and livable.

But what if homes were built this way from the start?

If a builder came and said: “We want to design with your reality in mind,” what features would be on your must-have list?

Think about:

• Safety (doors, locks, windows, fences)

• Durability (surfaces, floors, walls, furniture)

• Sensory-friendly design (lighting, acoustics, calming spaces)

• Accessibility and freedom of movement (so our kids aren’t trapped, but we have safe retreats)

• Outdoor spaces (secure but engaging)

đź’ˇ If you could wave a magic wand, what would your autism-smart home include?

Our flyer below is just a starter list of ideas. Please imagine, dream, and share your vision. Together, we can show what’s possible. 🏡💚🩵💙

The Boggs Center reached 56,495 people in FY24. As New Jersey’s University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD), we work to develop evidence-based practices, train the disability workforce, offer information and resources to people with disabilities and families, and partner with service systems on policy, innovation, and systems change. You can use AUCD’s Grassroots Action Tool to let policymakers know why UCEDDs like The Boggs Center are important to the disability community: https://aucd.quorum.us/campaign/135821/
