Most people who wear a prosthetic eye deal with allergic conjunctivitis due to protein deposits. Pataday is highly effective at reducing the itching and burning which is a symptom of conjunctivitis. The Pataday reduces these symptoms but ultimately the prosthesis will need to be polished and cleaned. It is now available OTC. Passing this information on.

Eye loss happens in our practice most of the time for two reasons. The first is disease. The second is injury. Although most injuries are preventable, sadly most are not predictable. The best solution is polycarbonate safety glasses. Eye injuries in children playing sports should not happen but do. Protect your eyes.
