Haha we see you in the DMs with this same question!
So let me clear it up, this is how I glove when I inject, and yes, it’s completely safe. Everything I do in clinic is intentional and designed to protect both you and me. If you’re ever curious about why I do something a certain way, just ask… I’m always happy to walk you through it. 🤍✨

Thinking about getting your favorite treatment while on antibiotics? Here’s what you need to know.

At MĒLA we take strict precautions with patients on antibiotics not because we don’t want to treat you but because we want you to get the absolute best results. Antibiotics can sometimes interfere with dermal fillers or neuromodulators by triggering your body to see them as a foreign substance. This can lead to unnecessary inflammation swelling or results that aren’t optimal.

If you’re currently taking antibiotics and have a treatment scheduled call us in advance. We’ll talk through whether it’s safe to proceed or if it’s better to reschedule. An educated patient is always a happy patient and we want your results to look flawless.

A lot of my patients have been asking about PRF gel and whether it still has a place in my clinic now that we’ve introduced PDGF. The answer is absolutely yes.

Both treatments have their strengths, and I actually love pairing them together. When combined, they offer beautiful, natural volume while also enhancing overall skin quality. It’s a powerful duo for patients wanting subtle lift, refinement, and true regenerative change.

If you have questions, send me a DM anytime. And if you’d like a personalized consultation to see which option is right for you, call our office at 8504803075.

Here’s a little injector tip I’ll always stand by. Coming from plastics, this one was drilled into us early on. My former boss, a plastic surgeon, would remind us during post-op care that if you see bleeding at an injection site, the best thing you can do is hold pressure.

If a spot starts to bleed, place your gauze and hold firm pressure for a full sixty seconds. Don’t peek. Don’t lift. Don’t recheck. Every time you lift the gauze, you disrupt the clot and increase the chance of bruising.

Be patient, hold steady, and your bruise will be incredibly minimal. It’s simple, effective, and truly a game changer in your technique.
