As I'm sure it's obvious by now, Dr. Altenhofen does not run this page. There is a woman behind the curtain. That woman is me, his daughter Brandi M Altenhofen-Bischoff. I have been vacillating between keeping the page up and taking it down since he died. I'm not ready for the finality of closing it and I do not think some of you are either. So, if you'd like to see it stay, at least for a little while longer, with a few posts here and there, please let me know in the comments section. I really appreciate your feedback. I know he is missed tremendously. Thank you.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dr Dean E. Altenhofen, Ob Gyn. He died yesterday in Kennesaw, Ga where he retired after leaving private practice. He brought tens of thousands of lives into this world and will certainly be missed. He is survived by his six children, six grandchildren, and one great grandchild. We can remember him by posting our favorite memories or pictures of the little ones brought into this world.

Medical records for patients seen in the last three years are being prepped for storage. They should be ready for pick up in approximately two weeks if you missed the first round of pick ups. Any chart for patients who have not been seen in the last three years are being destroyed.

After 40 long years as a medical provider in Pensacola Florida, Dean Altenhofen Ob/Gyn MD PA has decided to finally retire at the end of April. Medical records are available at the office for pick up in person or by signed requisition. If you have any questions, please call the office at 8504750902.

If you'd like to leave him parting words here, it would be greatly appreciated. All of you will be greatly missed as you and the 15,000+babies he's delivered have all helped weave him into who he is today. Thank you for allowing him to be a part of your lives.
