Meet one of our incredible nurses who shares the story of her calling. She knew she wanted to be a nurse while watching the compassionate care her grandmother received during a battle with cancer.

This spirit of loving service is the heartbeat of Ascension. While our sites of care each have their own unique history, this deep commitment to care is the thread that unites us and ties into a legacy of service that goes back several centuries, inspired by the healing ministry of Jesus.

We are pleased to announce that Micah Roden has joined Ascension as Chief Human Resources Executive (CHRE) for the Florida Market.

In his new role, Micah will help lead HR strategies that strengthen how we support and engage our associates so that our culture of care extends to every patient and community we serve. His experience and people-first approach will be a great asset to our leadership team as we continue building a strong, Mission-centered culture across Florida.

Micah brings more than 20 years of experience in human resources and operations leadership. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Human Resources for HCA Florida Capital Hospital in Tallahassee, where he provided HR leadership for more than 1,500 colleagues across a 288-bed acute care hospital, three freestanding emergency departments and the Capital Cancer Center. He partnered with executive and clinical leaders to grow talent, build engagement and connect people and purpose in ways that directly improved performance and patient care.
