Falls in seniors can be catastrophic! A fall risk assessment is paramount if you or a family member has any loss of balance, weakness in legs or numbness in your feet. There are multiple conditions that can cause falls in our seniors. Conditions such as painful corns and callouses can increase the chance of a fall. The simple trimming of a callous on the bottom of the foot can reduce pain and restore a more normal gait pattern which ultimately reduces the risk of falling.
