Camp Bluebird is the first Adult Cancer Camp in America and has helped a lot of people since 1999. The camp is a three day two night retreat where adults get to sit back be pampered and become kids again without any worries. The camp is staffed completely by volunteers, including several nurses (so that we can handle almost all situations) that give of their time freely to make the most amazing ex
perience happen for our campers. The most important thing that you can take with you is the camp experience does not end when camp is over, you enter as a new camper wanting to have an amazing experience but you leave with a family and support system that supports you year round. You may be asking, who sponsors Camp Bluebird? Camp Bluebird is a special project of the Sacred Heart Health System in Pensacola Florida. Camp Bluebird's sponsors work together to make the experience affordable to all cancer survivors. Campers pay only a nominal fee, so financial and in-kind support is imperative to cover the costs of the event. Sacred Heart's Foundation gives major support to Camp Bluebird each year through the annual Employee Campaign and, other groups in our community aid in the support of our camp.
