Role Description

This is a full-time role as a Medical Billing Specialist at Adult & Child Mental Health Care in Pensacola, FL. Expectation is in office part-time with potential for part-time hybrid work. The Medical Billing Specialist will be responsible for submitting medical claims and handling medical billing to ensure timely and accurate payments, as well as managing accounts and resolving payment issues. The role will require working closely with insurance companies and patients, so strong communication and organizational skills are a must.

Qualifications

Minimum of one year experience in medical billing and/or coding
Good understanding of insurance terminology, including Medicare and Medicaid, and billing/coding practices
Ability to use electronic medical record systems and billing software with high accuracy and attention to detail
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain billing and insurance policies clearly to patients and insurance companies
Ability to work independently and efficiently, as well as part of a team
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes
A degree in healthcare administration or related field is preferred, but not required

Job Opportunity: Receptionist for growing Mental Health agency with two locations in Pensacola and Pace Florida. Must be flexible to assist with a variety of administrative office staff needs. The clinicians and staff at our agency provide compassionate psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals and families of all ages. The receptionist is often the client’s first contact with the agency. Our busy office is focused on excellent client care. This person’s responsibilities include communication within the agency and the community while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.

We need a reliable and well organized person to handle day to day operations with specific attention to efficiency and time management. The receptionist is an essential contribution to the overall team effort, with the ability to multi-task with a consistent pleasant attitude.

Job duties include, but not limited to:

Greeting and interacting with clients, managing referrals, computer and telephone skills utilizing appropriate verbal and written communication: adhere to strict confidentiality regulations; light housekeeping to keep the lobby area tidy; some bookkeeping and accounting; scheduling clients and verifying insurances; supply management and overall keeping management informed by reviewing and analyzing day to day procedures; summarizing information and identifying trends. The right person for this position will be comfortable managing a caseload that includes a wide variety of medical and mental health diagnoses. Objectives of this Role
• Provide exemplary clinical services to patients and families in the form of psychological assessments and treatment
• Provide full battery of assessments (to include psycho-educational evaluation) for children seeking our care
• Collaborate as a member of a multidisciplinary, integrated practice to develop and deliver treatment the best possible care to ACMHC patients
• Support patients by delivering therapy appropriate to their unique mental health concerns
• Establish relationships with patients that allow them to receive the best possible care, while maintaining professional boundaries and respecting confidentiality

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients for behavioral and psychological disorders
• Establish a rapport with patients to assist them in understanding and accepting treatment recommendations
• Prescribe and implement treatment consistent with a patient’s diagnosis and relevant standards of care
• Provide crisis intervention to mental health outpatients
• Consult with staff to develop diagnoses and treatment plans in accordance with the needs of their patients
• Participate in the development of counseling policies and procedures
• Perform all duties in a manner consistent with the American Psychological Association’s (APA) Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct

Required Skills and Qualifications
• Master’s degree (MA, MS) in Psychology
• Current Florida license in Psychology

Preferred Qualifications
• Doctorate in Psychology
• Demonstrated experience providing psychological services to adults and children on an outpatient or consultative basis
