Yesterday, we celebrated Black History Month in a powerful and meaningful way! ❤️🖤💛

Our amazing staff volunteered to step into history by portraying influential Black leaders who have shaped our world, including Martin Luther King Jr., Madame C.J. Walker, Josephine Baker, Malcolm X, Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, Augustus Jackson, and Kamala Harris. Each portrayal brought history to life and gave our residents an opportunity to learn, reflect, and engage in important conversations.

We also played a fun and educational Black History Bingo game that highlighted many other influential Black figures. It was a wonderful way to combine learning with laughter and friendly competition! 😀

We are so proud of our team for going above and beyond to create meaningful programming that honors culture, legacy, and excellence. 💛

🎉 Congratulations to Kelly, who recently returned home after completing rehabilitation with us after a stroke. Physical and occupational therapies helped get her regain strength, mobility and function, and even a special member of the team made a difference! 🐕‍🦺

🪩 We had an incredible time dancing the day away at our sock hop celebration! 💃🕺 We busted out all kinds of moves, including some line dancing. The residents truly showed out and packed the dance floor from start to finish. The joy on everyone’s faces and the nonstop fun made this event one to remember! Residents and staff joined in the fun, showing off their festive spirit while collecting colorful beads and enjoying delicious Moon Pies along the way. 🌜 Thank you to everyone who helped make this Mardi Gras celebration such a success! 🎭✨
